I think the technology for hoverboards is out there (someone can correct me if I'm wrong). They just haven't figured out a way to make them affordable.

that was a hologram of a horrible looking 3D shark...but we can't even do that right now

we will never have flying cars in my life time...:(

I can remember back in the 80s kids talking about what we would have around the year 2000...nothing is here really

I was POSITIVE that we would all be talking talking into televsion screens instead of phones, and while that tech is here and some people do that, it isn't standard at all...

then there were the people claiming we would have homes set up on the moon...:lol

the biggest changes tech wise have been cell phones and THIS, the internet...other than that we live pretty much the same as the 80s...

I do wear my pockets inside out though...it will catch on

Cracked on hoverboards and back to the future (http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-hoverboard-lie-how-back-to-the-future-ruined-childhood/)

They can make hoverboards, but they're not what you think, some of the gayest shit ever

I always quite knew the big tihings won't come true. Who knows the hoverboard might not come true in the next 100 years.

People say we are advance. While we are only advanced in computer technology. We have managed to make cpu's and small mobile phones, smaller computers and HD Tv'. Nothing really new what we have done besides improving old things.

It's kind of crazy that in 2010 we're still pretty much just using laces. You would think that something better would've come out by now. It's like on Seinfeld when George was talking about how nothing will replace toilet paper in our lifetimes. :oldlol:

They do have something better than laces. Velcro. But unfortunately only small children and old people get to use that wonderful invention. :(

True. I remember wearing shoes with velcro when I was a kid. It saved so much time, and you could do cool things like criss-cross them :lol . I guess they're just not "cool".

Yeah, we have to give up many things that are clearly awesome for the sake of being cool. Fanny Packs are another fine example of one of these things.

I also see them being used by some sort of high tech bad guy's minions in a summer action/comedy flick.

And well, we can KINDA say there are self-lacing shoes now.

And if I remember right, there was a rumor going around about Nike applying to patent a lacing system like the one in BTTF.
