Well today I bought a shirt at EXPRESS. I was in a rush, and the line was so long, so I did not bother trying to put it on. Usually, all my dress shirts are size medium, however, this dress shirt I got from the store is a bit too long and oversized. When I got home, I immediately took of the price tag without thinking about it. I have the receipt and the price tag right now. What I'm doing is trying to go back there to exchange for smaller size. My friend and cousin's graduation is on friday, so I don't wan't look so stupid with a huge ass shirt while wearing a skinny jeans. Do you think they will let me exchange with the price tag taken off??

having the tag is whats important. it doesn't matter that you took it off , specially from a big chain like Express

I think you'll be fine considering you have the receipt and the tag still.....and even so, ALL you want is to exchange it for a smaller size. Should be alright.

I don't know what the deal is in the States, though in Australia you don't even have to have the receipt or anything, as much as stores would like to make you think so.
Several times I've gone in and gotten the typical "its store policy" that I have to have the receipt to return an item. Then there is an epic struggle trying to explain to the retards that work there that you don't legally have to have a receipt.

You should have no problem.
Now... I dunno Express' return policies, but in Macy's you have different options.
You can exchange something without tags, as long as you're a Macy's member the transaction can be traced back to your card. You also don't need a receipt or a crl either... again... this can be traced back to the card.
But this also depends on the department and dept manager.
But it's always a good rule of thumb to keep all your info, to ease the process.
There's nothing worse than customers that b*tch and complain when they can't get a refund or exchange even tho they have no proof of purchase.
