what's he saying specifically?
He has noted several times that he now has more rings than Shaq. When asked what this championship means personally in the presser, he said, "it means that I now have more titles than Shaq."
Now, if you were just reading this, you may think that he was saying it in jest, but that isn't the way it came off at all. He didn't even crack a smile or add anything else that might make it seem like he was messing around.
It really does seem as though he was being completely honest and that is the reason why it means so much to him... Shocking response.
I am that I am

Meh, Shaq could always play the 3 championships as the main man card... Kobe still only has 2 as the main man.
When Kobe wins his 3rd without Shaq next season will the haters shut up about "rings with shaq not counting" or will they go into "Pau Gasol carried him to those 3 titles" mode

sergio, shut the f*ck up. do you honestly believe he is a top 10 player after this finals performance? the stage was set, and he fell flat on his face. a lot of people were hating on bron for the way he played against the celtics, but it should be noted that even when he "gave up", he played leaps and bounds better than kobe did tonight.
kobe has the best team in the league, he should be winning. pau has not carried him, but it seems to me you're minimising his role.

If Ron Artest was officiated like other players he'd foul out of every game. Offensively he's always trying to run someone over, and defensively he's always holding, hacking, grabbing, etc. It's annoying, but that's not really why I don't like him, that just makes me mad at the refs.

I felt kind of bad for Russell when the LA fans booed him. I know he was a Celtic and he beat up on the Lakers way back in the day, but he's about to hand the trophy over to a Laker, let him off the hook. He's an old man now, no need to disrespect.

There does come a point when fans need to set aside the petty stuff and give respect due to a man like Russell. He may not be around much longer and he did a lot to help push the NBA to where it is today.

beside myself. I care as much as anyone I know, I see every game and frequently plan my week around our schedule. My body was so f*cking tense all day, feels like I just sneezed, came, yawned, and had a massage... release. Horrifying, ugly, and yet a great finale.
Extra hard to be a part of this website and be a laker fan too, both because some of the fellow laker fans are so annoying and because it's just a constant labored effort to be "one of the good ones". Can barely praise my favorite team without being called a homer or kobe fanboy or whatever else is automatically attached to Laker fans here. Definitely a little extra sweet to put up with all the shit and now know so many of you f*ckers are miserable because we won. Soak in that agony c*ck heads. Great season celts, great season NBA.

I slept out all the hatred (mainly for Pau not the Lakers) and congrats to the team and their fans. They have put a great squad together over the last couple of years and everyone expected them to repeat. That makes it pretty impressive that they did with those kind of expectations and pressure looming over them.
Kobe deserved the Finals MVP. Sure he played awful in game 7 but so did everyone else for the most part. He is magic in game 5 and lead his team throughout the entire series. The Celtics did a great job of forcing him into difficult shots all series but he still managed to score and lead his team to the title. If anyone else deserved it, it would have to be Pau. But if Pau won it I would probably have to make a bomb in my bathroom, strap it to my chest, and detonate it in downtown Los Angeles.
