This was tough. I think I might have to give the edge to Timmy.

I liked tim hardaways better, his between the legs move and acceleration was amazing.

i like Allen Iverson better. Both good:bowdown: . But i will rather get crossed by Tim not A.I. just to nasty:rockon:

Hardaway and is not close. Iverson carries the ball excessively every time he does it.

The speed of Hardaway's would make you come out of your shoes literraly, they didnt call it the "killer crossover" for nothing,Tim's hands down.

I think Iverson was faster, but I think Hardaway was better at mixing it with more moves like spins and such.

easily hardaway for me. mainly because he didn't carry the ball. some of iverson's crosses are laughable at how much the league allowed.

I will never forget when this commercial came out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbS_jfP6T0E
The next day, literally everyone at the courts were trying to do this move.

I didn't click on the video, and I'm a bigger Iverson fan than Hardaway, but just from memory I think Hardaway's is more effective. Iverson's look cooler, and some people might confused that for being more effective, but I take the Killer Crossover.

hardway could be at a dead stop , and blaze by ya...

AI had to jump start his speed move.

TWo different ways of doing it , but Tim was a master.

Damn a lot of hate for Iverson.

It's not hate for Iverson, it's love for Hardaway.

I don't like how ISH has over a million posts a year comparing 2 players, and instantly choosing one over the other amounts to hate for the other.

I said it was hate because people were complaining that Iverson needed to carry the ball to do it.

So does everyone in the league.
Ever watch Olajuwon with the ball? Or Ewing? Even Jordan would have his palm underneath when he posted up.

I know everyone does and all I'm saying is AI carries the ball sometimes when he does his crossovers. A lot of refs these days are calling that head and shoulder fake a carry now.

Timmy all day. Iverson's is great, though it's like comparing Shaq and Kareem. One's great, the other is just that much better.

Plus I liked the way Timmy snapped the ball across.

The Killer Crossover > Any other crossover

hateraid
06-30-2010, 12:13 AM
The difference between the two crossovers is with AI's he has to juke you to go one direction where he'd have to go the other. Only one direction.
With Hardaway's the inital move through the legs froze the opponent. This gave him more options. Hardaway could now choose which direction he wanted to take you. The two step involved crossing it over quickly in a change direction that was lighting. Left you frozen. But the variation, after his initial move he froze you so he could still dribble left.
Also Hardaway could pull this while on a fast break. He drive down the court then pull a UTEP at the corner of the key. AI's needed to be set up in a half court offense.

Hardaway's crossover is more versatile and effective.

All this time I thought Tim Hardaway was a stiff white jump shooter. lol I did not start watching the NBA till 2000s. thought tim hardaway and was like a paxon type of player. boy did not expect him to have a crossover.

WTF? Are you serious? Props for honesty if so. :oldlol: Hardaway was one of the leaders in bringing the street flavor to the NBA in terms of ballhandling, like Isiah before him and Pistol and Earl the Pearl before him. He was a VERY good player.

Iverson is faster but IMO Tim had better handles...

A.i for me

07-15-2010, 01:32 PM
I have been a victim up close to the UTEP two step...his is better imo, Iverson carried the hell out of the ball, you never see Tim's hand way the hell out with his hand damn near under the ball, his was compact and quick as hell

KobeDaMamba
07-15-2010, 01:34 PM
A.I and its not even close. His crossover on Jordan is BY FAR the most influential crossover the NBA has ever seen. It sure as hell wasnt the best but its impact is greater than any other crossover imo. Tims move was legal, tho and he could do it on a breakaway or isolation. A.I palmed the ball a lot. When they started calling it on him around 1998, dude had to develop other dribbling techniques and moves to get by his defender.

DuMa
07-15-2010, 01:38 PM
very different flavors and hard to pick. AI made everyone look foolish, even the GOAT himself. but he was an extremely hard guy to guard anyway even without the crossover because of his world class speed.

but Tim Hardaway made everyone look foolish with just above average speed. very fundamentally sound.

Naw he was right handed a lot of players who are right handed cross over like that...I know when I play I can crossover way faster when going to my right. I think it has more to do with the fact that once he crossed to his right hand he could do a lot more with his dribble/drive.

KobeDaMamba
07-15-2010, 01:38 PM
And if we're talking about influential then Pistol pete would have to be up there cause in terms of crossovers n the 70's he was way ahead of his time

Wait I hope you didn't imply that Jordan had a better crossover then Hardaway.

WTF? I wasnt talkin' bout Jordan's crossover. Reading comprehension is your friend.

I choose Iverson....Both guy's moves were sick...But Iverson's had more swag to it...Aswell as completeness to finish the play with a bucket..Not that Tim's didn't though....Tough choice...But Iverson is the guy I choose here...Only an opinion.

And Iverson's shake n back on Jordan was tight....Aswell as that time he made Daniels fall twice in the same play.:oldlol:

I remember when I was hyped up over Tyrone Lue "shutting down" Iverson in the Finals for a few plays...But Iverson started making homie look stupid I must admit..:lol

Iverson is just nasty with that 1 killer cross over

tough call, i say i enjoy watching Timmy more because it seems to be more rhythmatic

I am right handed and I cross over faster going left. I dribble better with the right, so I can throw it over to the other side faster.

Tim Hardaway, all day. Hardaway did it when the league was at its peak. AI did it in a starved league still dry heaving from the loss of MJ.

Deron Williams, because every Iverson cross is actually a massive carry.

Iverson wouldn't get called for carrying since his dribbles were blindingly fast. it's only in slow motion that everyone starts calling a carry
