Read a thread here yesterday that suggested quite the opposite. I could definitely see him going to the Lakers.

Even if he's going to turn out into a good player, I doubt Phil will consider Ebanks close to ready for reasonable bench minutes. That would be a lot of trust in a rookie coming into a championship team, and I've never seen Phil give many rookies a significant role for a little while at least.
