Tiger will be fine. I hope that Phil capitalizes on Tiger's downfall while he can because when Tiger gets back in form, it's over.

His focus has clearly been shot to hell by all the crap that has gone on in his life...unfortunately, he largely has himself to blame. I didn't think his unfaithfulness warranted so much attention, but if you cheat 200+ times your wife has to divorce you no matter who you are. He was probably going to be the first American billionaire pro athlete. But after that divorce settlement, no way.

those first reported figures were way off. it was actually like 100 mil or some such. meh, I dont care. golf is boring and lame with or without him. It is a little funny that the public scandal does seem to have impacted his play so much.

I think Tiger Woods reached $1bil status already about a year or so ago. Given Tiger's greatness? Facing this adversity we've seen what happens to guys like him. They perform poorly then all of a sudden turn it on. Thats what I expect. Cant tell you when. This makes for a good story when a documentary is made on his life and career. You gotta have tha typical downer music playing with the whole cheating/scandal/struggles/*insert frustrated photos* footage. Then the music kicks into gear and Tiger finishes his golfing career a stud.

He probably needs to see a therapist, if he isn't already.

yeah, I was going to post something similar. This is a PR ploy by his team to get him into an underdog comeback situation where he can regain much of his lost popularity down the line. Cmon, its hitting a ****ing ball with a stick, how the **** did he go from the best ball hitter in the world to some borderline pro ball hitter? Its a ploy.

yeah, hes "seeing" a sex the-rapist. Although its unclear if the sex is the issue or the therapy.

For now, the fear and intimidation factor is gone.

Tiger has been stripped down. I don't watch much golf, but it seemed to be kinda one of those things where his mere footsteps/shadow scared the hell out of everyone else. That doesn't seem to be the case right now.

and he's always had a supreme ability to focus and concentrate at the task on hand. At the moment, going on the golf course and blocking everything else out is just impossible.

He just needs his swagger back and everything will be alright for him.

this puts his success into context.

he has the same talent, the same intelligence & he's healthy. &, yet, his game right now is not even close to good enough.

the way he used to dominate his sport is mind boggling.

but, he'll be back.

he's like all these dudes i know who cheat, they get caught, then they crumble when their wives leave. it's astounding to me, they act as if they aren't married at all, could give a **** what there wife thinks, and the moment they find out, its all tears and crying and DONT LEAVE ME!

Tiger jsut crumbled as his wife left. Basically, everything he worked his whole life for is going to shit cause he wanted to bang strippers.

Been saying this all along. Little doubt that his sex life or lack thereof has a great deal of why his performance is diving. The man went from over a dozen ready-in-waiting hoebags to nothing overnight. That's got to have an affect on anyone's professional life.

If Tiger had the chance to go to this particular strip club about 15 minutes from where I live, he'd win every remaining tournament this year.

I think everyone would start sucking at life after losing $800 million. That would have a huge impact on my life.

He didn't lose 800 million. That is more than his entire net worth. He lost $100 million in the divorce.

Surely Tigers head is messed up but he is also having major technical issues with his swing right now. he even admitted as much in his press conference today.

He has always had a problem getting the club stuck behind him too much on the backswing. It is even worse now and he has also been dropping his head to start the downswing leaving him almost no chance of hitting it straight consistently. His swing got a lot flatter and laid off working with Haney.

His swing looked a lot better back in 2000 when he was working with Harmon. His arm swing was more upright back then. If you looked at a swing sequence back then compared to now it almost looks like a different player.

That's what happens when you have to focus your time on other, family stuff instead of spending all your time on the courses stress free.

I am sorry but that is a flat out moronic statement to the Nth degree.

You should have your left pinkie toe stepped on for saying something so dumb.

That is seriously the difference. He is so accustomed to getting laid before all his tournaments.

Tiger still has the skills to win them but i bet he won't get back the legendary status he was at when he was dominating. he's been ridiculously inconsistent, and everyones been waiting a long time now for him to get his game back, where he'll have it one day or 2, but after his last outing shows how far he is from being that dominating, consistent golfer. i bet Tiger never gets back that lvl of golf he was on where he was at the top of every tourney. Not saying he won't win one or come close here and there but i can see his career going out on a sad note. kind of like early success peaking and his personal life being remembered as a tragic story to his golf game in terms of his legacy.

Elin Nordegren Gets $750M, Custody of Kids in Exchange for Silence in Tiger Woods Divorce

And that was wrong. The news just hit last year that he had total earnings of $1 billion (pretax), so how could he possibly pay $750 million after taxes?

Forbes says Tiger Woods divorce story is bunk
04:38 PM

Forbes magazine says it's absolute bunk that Tiger Woods is about to pay wife Elin Nordegren $750 million in a divorce settlement.

That figure has been tossed around for a couple of months in reports, with no named sourcing, and the rumor picked up speed this week when an English tabloid, The Sun, recycled the story.

The reason Forbes says Woods can't possibly be paying a $750 million settlement is because his net worth is about $600 million

I highly doubt sex is the issue here. Dude just lost his wife and custody of his kids yet people on here think that if he gets some, the birdies and eagles will follow.

It's been three years. And clearly, while he can't win majors yet, Tiger doesn't really suck anymore.

it's going to be 6 yrs since he last won one .. I'm starting to have serious doubts .. he might squeak out one more but I don't know

These posters are the age (including myself) where theyre either banging chicks from clubs or not getting any at all. What would they know about a marriage falling apart?
