Ponder Rasheed Wallace's entire career, starting with the Bullets in 1995, long stays with the Trail Blazers and Pistons, and various quick stops with the Hawks and Celtics

Amazing.:oldlol:

I really wish this guy doesn't stay retired. He showed he can still be productive in Game 7. NBA needs characters like Sheed, Shaq, & Artest. They are a steep contrast from the boring/super serious basketball players and the potheads who thinks their tattoos are examples of them having a personality.

Sheed was, along with Ben Wallace my favorite Piston. One of my friends played against him in a softball game, said Sheed was one of the most humblest people he ever met.

I hated the time when he stole the inbound pass and sunk the halfcourt shot to send it to OT\eventually win the game. It was an amazing shot tho.

His performance in the 2000 series against LA where he was torching LA's bigs and hitting tough turnaround shots like it was nothing is definitely my favorite memory. One of the few times in his career where he played to his full potential.

Dang you took mine. It's kind of tough to hear though (I happened to watch the actual broadcast):

"Rasheed you suck!"

"Not like your momma."

Here's Rasheed and Company's rendition of Jingle Bells, played to the delight of the Palace crowd:

my favorite Rasheed memory is a dunk from a alley-oop pass by Pippen against Rockets in 2000. that dunk made jump from my seat and scream like crazy...and offcourse his "special" relationship with the refs

He would make fun of you and doesn't care wheter you're a nobody or a superstar.

I was just about to mention this. I really thought the game was over, then Denver loses the ball on the inbounds and Sheed just throws it from half court. :oldlol: That must have ruined the day for every nuggets fan.

Look at LeBron's heart in that game. Ya, it was in Miami!

1. Watching him on the Blazers, I thought he was the 3rd most dominant big offensively in the entire league. He basically never missed in the post.

2. Watching him in person nail 5 3's, 29 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks at Toronto was pretty awesome.

3. I don't think he's done. I can see him coming back for the playoffs for somebody needing depth at center and power forward

On a separate note, how loaded was the 1999-2000 Blazer team?
CT: Arvydas Sabonis/ Jermaine O'Neal/ Joe Kleine
PF: Rasheed Wallace/ Brian Grant/ Antonio Harvey
SF: Scottie Pippen/ Deltef Schrempf/ Stacey Augmon
SG: Steve Smith/ Bonzi Wells
PG: Damon Stoudamire/ Greg Anthony/ Gary Grant

When he ejected just for staring at the ref, and the ref said "WHACK, GET OUT!" in game 1 of 2000 WCF.
I thought he was saying "Black, get out" because the Blazers were the road team and their jerseys were black.

I was definitely watching that game, and turned it once the Nuggets gained possession with a three point lead and 1.3 seconds left. Just happened to flip back expecting to see some post-game interviews and discovered what I'd missed.

Also, loved this. Made the 2004 championship resonate:

I will miss him dearly, he was a monster but was such a sweetheart to kids.

I will always remember when he was in the finals with Det against LA. Malone didn't play so Medvedenko was the 4. He said something to Sheed that pissed him off bad, and he went down on the block like 5 straight times and scored. And he could do that against most, if he had a me-first attitude, he could average 25 for his career. But he was a team player and really didn't want all the popularity that came with being the #1 scorer.

I remember Sheed being the peacemaker in the brawl at the palace, imagine that!

"Ball don't lie!"

Dude had a big mouth, and backed up his talk most of the time.

And the picture above, he bought those championship belts for every teammate, and if it wasn't for Stern he would probably still be wearing it to games.

Game 5 ECF against Boston, post game

"All that bullsh@#-ass calls they had out there. With Mike and Kenny...you've all seen that shi*, You saw them calls. The cats are flopping all over the floor and they're calling that $hit. That $hit ain't basketball out there. It's all fukcing entertainment. You all should know that $hit. It's all fukcing entertainment."
