Slightly variated from the main forum:

Insidehoops Raptor Forum Guidelines:

THE QUICK VERSION:

The InsideHoops Raptors forum has some of the most intelligent, well spoken and knowledgeable fans on this board. Be cool. Be relaxed. Don't fight. Report posts that 'damage' our board (red/white triangle, left side of page). Put thought into your posts. Respect other people. Don't post/link anything that little kids or people surfing from a corporate office shouldn't see. Enjoy talking basketball. Help others. Have fun.

THE LONGER VERSION:

The InsideHoops forums are for intelligent, friendly basketball discussion.

Be cool, nice and friendly to other fans. If a fan doesn't know something, help him and educate him.

Don't put people down. Avoid insults. And if someone does toss a silly insult at you, don't get baited into fighting - just laugh it off and keep talking basketball.

Remember, there is a wide range of fans here, from 15 year old kids to 60 year olds, and everyone in-between, so be respectful of everyone.

If anyone damages our forums by posting spam, porn, threats, violent stuff or anything else that's over the line of decency, report the post by clicking the little red and white triangle, left side of page, near their nickname. It helps us, and they don't know you did it.

If you start a topic, please take a minute to put some thought into it, so it's worth discussing.

Any feedback, complaints, praises, questions, comments. Put all of them in this thread. Anything else, just keep it about basketball, nothing personal.

Oh i've definitely got a complaint. Why is it that if there's an argument between myself and the usual goons (Bada, T-Low, Skywalker, Brwnman, etc...) my posts/threads get deleted and there's don't? Even when I just state an opinion (not a personal attack) and they flame me.

Talk basketball, don't pick fights and your threads and posts won't be deleted. It's that simple. If you hadn't noticed yet, people just try to egg you on because they see how easily you react to it. If you stopped that, they would eventually leave you alone.

To be honest, it's been a while since I "gooned" one of your threads...

I can agree to that. But that wasn't true at the time when I posted it.

25th of August....I haven't posted much in the past few weeks so I am not sure where you can think that. Oh well....I agree with the guidelines though...

 Well either this thread worked or beastnani just calmed down a bit. Regardless, glad the forum has looked improved over the past couple of weeks for the most part.

We have great discussion in here, and personally, I think better basketball discussion than the main board. It's to the point where I'm considering abandoning the main forum altogether and just posting here. I know a lot of you like to get on lilbeastnani's case, and I admit, he can be a bit over the top at times, but we should consider ourselves lucky cause he's nowhere near the level of morons on the main board.

Here's to yet another season of discussions, fellow Raptors fans!

The crazy part is that people are hating on your boy just because I like Bargnani and i'm optimistic about his potential. If that's a crime, lock me up and give me 25 years to life.

Many people think that in Canada it is a 25 year sentence. They are dead wrong!
The Criminal Code of Canada states First Degree Murder is a LIFE sentence. This means you are in a Federal Prison for the rest of your life however you can apply for parole after 25 years.

Read more: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_years_are_in_a_life_sentence#ixzz25lapTGj D

Dummy, do you know the difference between being eligible for parole and actually being out of prison? A LIFE sentence doesn't mean that you sit in jail for 25 years and then they let you free. A life sentence means that you are locked up for LIFE but you can apply for parole after you have served at least that 25 years. And depending on the crime, often times it gets denied. Wow, how did I not see this stupid comment before?

edit: and to add, that's where the phrase "25 to life" comes from. It's common. It means the same thing when you get that sentence. That you will be doing a minimum of 25 years in prison for your crime, with chance of parole after year 25 but also a chance of lifetime imprisonment if it gets denied.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_imprisonment_in_the_United_States

There are many states in the United States where a convict can be released on parole after a decade or more has passed. For example, sentences of "15 years to life" or "25 years to life" may be given; this is called an "indeterminate life sentence'", while a sentence of "life without the possibility of parole" is called a "determinate life sentence".[1] Even when a sentence specifically denies the possibility of parole, government officials may have the power to grant amnesty or reprieves, or commute a sentence to time served.:biggums:

Next time before you say something this stupid, please do some research. Hit a library or something.
