Hahaha I actually ran into Popeye in the Las Vegas airport back in 2007, around the time of summer league, and managed to get a picture with him. was one of the high points of my NBA fandom lol. Grew up watching him, and his ugly mug on the Mavs. He was totally nice.

I never understood this. What difference does it make? I generally watch a basketball game (or a football game, etc.) for what the players do on the field of play, not for how they look.

it is normal to rate a guys looks, its how you can tell if they are threatening or not. a guy that looks like brad pitt talks to my gf and i got to be wary. a guy that looks like michael moore talks to her i can relax.

it is just taking that skill and applying it for a laugh. i don't think people are actually saying they care about looks, it is just an observation. having said that i have traded players away on 2k10 because they are to f'n ugly lol.
