True story....yall ever buy a signature shoe from a player you didn't really like? That's kinda where I am with these shoes. I need some new ones and EVERYBODY has been telling me they are really good basketball shoes. Comfortable, good support, light, decent on looks. Problem is I'm not he biggest fan of Kobe so I'm hesistant. I might do the Hyperfuses instead:confusedshrug:

thats what it seems like. the traction on the sole is different, and there is no more flywire. other than that I dont see much change. still looks narrow as hell too.

Snakeskin looks pretty tacky to me... and they made the shoe look a lot more generic.

The 4/5's are great... not sure about these though.

NikeID's do cost a good amount.

I will maybe get a pair or two of these, I like them with the whole Mamba scale theme.

But the 5's are easily my favorite to play in ...

I have the Del Sols, USAs, Draft Days ... all get regular burn at the gym.

I love those. I just started playing in hyperdunk lows and have to say I like playing in low tops. I was pretty skeptical at first because my ankles are in pretty bad shape but I feel every bit as stable. I still fear landing on someones foot but I'm not sure a high top even helps that. I've heard good things about the Kobe's though

Theyre running a lil tight this year, 9.5 fit me perfect for the 4 and 5, tried the 6's on and they were tight but 10's were a lil big.

When they wear out some theres no way ill be able to resist going back to kobe. then again most shoes are too wide on me and so the kobes narrowness is a must for me. i wanna try these on

Don't buy Kobe/hyperdunk low's unless you plan on stretching your calves, alot. Any shoe that bends in the middle when you hold the heel and pull up on the toes doesn't have the necessary support for serious play. Sure it was fun flying up and down the court, but the ligaments in my feet aren't very happy with my choice. Lot's of calf stretching needed if you plan on playing significant minutes in these.

this is whats wrong with basketball shoes though. for much too long have they sold the idea that locking your ankle/foot down in a pretty fixed position with too much support is 'good' for you. makes your ankle/foot weaker.

I agree that the HD lows feel the best, but over time you must be very careful with those shoes. I'm in my 7th month battling plantar fasciitis from wearing them, and it has resulted in no full court ball for quite some time. I think with a pair of Power step full length original inserts however, that arch support in the HD lows would greatly improve. If that arch pain goes to your heals and you start to feel heel pain more than 2 days in a row, see a doctor asap.
