I would rank the chapelle show over in living color imo.... i mean in living color basically paved the way for sketch comedy (well after johnny carson that is). I mean dave wasnt just funny as hell but a lot of the messages in his skits went over peoples heads he is a very intelligent dude.

They tried to do him like they did Keenen Ivory Wayans with In Living Color, same thing. Once they got big, the man tried to take over their shows, hell they even succeeded to a certain extent. Both shows lasted one season after Wayans and Chappelle left.

They both had the will power to leave the money on the table and walk away with their dignity.
