In all honesty though Andrei the reason why you are feeling bad is because you actually have a shred of compassion running through you. I broke up with my GF last year because she was going travelling for 6 months and to be honest I didn't like her enough to want to do the long distance thing.

Turns out it was the best decision I made because she found another guy and has now moved to Oz to be with him, which is something I was never going to offer. So for that I am happy for her.

Sounds like your issue is that you subconsciously think you can do better. That's something that happens with a lot of people who get into a long relationship as a teen, and it goes along into their 20s. Basically, you just lack experience, and most likely don't know what's good and what isn't.

Down the road, you (hightly likely) might regret breaking up with her when you find out the kind of girl you want was your ex, then you call her to find out she's ****ing another guy and getting married in a couple months.
