Now that Amare is gone, what should the Suns do with Steve Nash?
Great talent, would hate to see it rot in Phoenix...

Trade him mid-season and rebuild with Dragic.

What they should do is trade him to a contender.
What they most likely will do is keep him and start rebuilding through the draft.

Reunite with Dirk.

Ask him to play defense and stop over dribbling and making risky passes.

Give him a weekly one hour variety show.
He could direct and produce it himself. Good idea.
How about try to assemble a team that doesn't look like crap? Boy deserves a shot to play for the trophy, not the second round.
They won't trade him, too many people pay to watch him play. Can't say that about Dragic.
hes in a tricky situation no doubt. much like jason kidd was in during the last days of being a Net.
Hate to see Nash leave PHX but hate to see his career rot away even more. But it is still a new season and maybe by the trading deadline, the Suns can get another peice for Nash to make another run at the title.

Since I like Nash and have no confidence in Suns building contender anytime soon, I'd prefer for Suns to trade him to one of the Top teams.

Here are the contenders he would be a good fit for:
LA- trade for Artest, Odom, and Blake
Miami- trade for Chalmers and co.
Dallas- trade for Barea, Kidd, and filler
OKC- trade for Westbrook and co.
Orlando- trade for Jameer and co.
Portland- trade for Miller, Batum, Fernandez, etc
I'd say the best place for him would be Orlando because of their team defense covering up Nash's bad man defense, and not to mention Nash will make Howard a complete player.

Trade him to the magic or Knicks

Those are pretty fair deals. It just depends on whether OKC is willing to let go of Westbrook.

Lakers are gonna give up a championship level front line for Steve Nash? The triangle is the absolute worst place for Nash as well.
OKC is gonna give up a young guy to pair with Durant for old Steve Nash?

He needs to go to Orlando. They would be like a Phoenix Suns team on steroids that actually play defense.

That's just dumb. Nash is good for another year or 2. the suns will most likely miss the playoffs and they might as well give him up for a late draft pick and cap relief

I would like to see him go to the Hawks or Orlando.
It would also be smart for the Suns. Specially right now that nash is worth something.

You might as well have said Nash for Derrick Rose. No one is going to trade their 21 year old up and coming PG for 36 year old Steve Nash.

Butler and Terry for Nash and Turkoglu?
gives the Suns cap relief and reunites Dirk and Nash.

that's crazy. nash will increase the lakers scoring by 5-10 points. losing artest, odom and blake , the defense will give up 20 more points. again, defense wins championship.

Nailed it.
NAsh is so dam loyal he turned around and signed another contract just before Amare left ... was that to assume Amare would show the same loyality , even though he was constantly being shopped :facepalm
NAsh has only two options left in his career and both are between a rock and a hard place. The Suns need to swing for the fences by Feb and land two legit offensive threats or this and next year will be wasted time for Nash.
Will that happen ?? I know Suns fans will say Suns were competetive when Amare was out .. but the bottom line is Nash is not a 26 year old run like there is no tomarrow PG .... those LEGS have miles on them.
--------------
Will the Suns have the balls and cut ties with NAsh = highly doubtful because he is their money in the bank for ticket sales.
But if they truly respect him , and ask him if he would like an out , his contract sucks for most teams that could use his skill set.
That means a .500 team or less would be in the mix to acquire his services.
Which would also mean at least another year before he could actually get moved in another trade to a legit contender...... :rant
He screwed him self with a loyality contract (.)

Umm, no it's not, he's arguably the best open jump shooter in history. Nash would murder in the triangle. Not saying the particular trade suggested would be good for the Lakers, but the simple idea of Nash in the triangle is very enticing.

Send him to Orlando. He'd find easy looks for Dwight, not to mention Carter, Shard, QRich and the rest of them as well.
Nash for Nelson, Bass (or Gortat) & 2nd round pick.
Suns get a younger point guard to challenge Dragic for the starting spot and a big man. Magic get a damn good point guard for the squad.

The Magic make a lot of sense, not sure the Suns would really want Jameer Nelson though.
