Basically what this says to me is.... Lebron wants to be more LIKE MIKE, rather than LIKE MAGIC........ even though he is more of a Magic Johnson rather than Michael Jordan.... he even compares himself with only Magic, Oscar & Penny Hardaway (all pointguards) yet he doesnt want to be a pointguard???? I dont get it??? He says he plays like a playmaker and handles the ball and racks up major assists, isnt that being a PG??? Whats the difference?
Basically he wants to play Point-Guard without playing Point-Guard!?? :wtf:
I dislike this because Lebron at PG could probably be better than Magic ever was... he could revolutionize the PG position even further.... ITS SIMPLY MORE UNIQUE THAN BEING JUST ANOTHER DAMN WINGMAN WHO JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE ABLE TO PASS.......
Thats just me.... I just think he should STFU and become what he was always destined to be! :D A Magic/Oscar of this generation! But oh well... your thoughts on this?

I understand that some skills/talent of his will be limited at PG, like not being able to work without the ball, geting up in the open, be more of a finisher, use his athleticism and so on.... and it will drop his PPG average a bit...
But with the Heat? Is that really a problem? With the Heat it would actually benefit if Lebron sacrificed that and did instead what he does best.... PASS and being 6

Ummmm.....why does it matter what he labels himself? No matter if he labels himself a point man or a swingman he'll still make the right pass when he sees an open man and will run the offense (at least periodically). You're grasping at straws man.

So, you dislike James because he wants to play in a certain way. I can only imagine what you'd do if he actually did something to you like slapping your sister.
Moving on, passing is something that James excels at but it's not what he does best. If you can average 30 while shooting around 50% you're a scorer. And it's even better when you can do that while handing out 7 assists per. Miami doesn't need James or Wade to be the designated "point guard," they just need their three stars to play their games in a cohesive fashion and their offense will be more than ok.

Lebron's a great passer but his main strength is still his ability to finish at the rim. There's been people with his passing skills and vision(even better ones), but I've yet to see any player finish at the rim like he does. Like 2Letters said, he'll still make the right pass when he sees it.
Magic set the table for his team because his teammates weren't great off the dribble scorers. Points came off the break or the post.
Lebron needs the ball in his hands to create off the dribble and his post game hasn't been consistent yet. So does Wade, Wade creates off the dribble. He's not a catch and shoot player like Ray Allen in Boston both players need the ball.

What Lebron is doing is no different than:
Somebody being a Michael Jordan clone and refusing to play SG/SF because he wants to be a Pass First PG instead, doesnt want to score at all.....
Somebody being a John Stockton clone and refusing to play PG because he wants to be a SG and wants to be a scorer instead... he doesnt want to pass at all.....
The mindset is just totally wrong with the talent/skills they possess! Understand?
Lebron is even worse than those examples above, because he not only wants to be a Scorer... he wants to be a Passer to.... he wants to combine both.... he wants to steal a Point-Guards job and he wants to steal a Scorers job.... yet he doesnt want to be a labelled as a PG or SG/SF.... he just wants to be labelled as a Playmaker!? Its just confusing dont you think? :wtf:

I don't see the big issue, maybe I read that wrong.
I think people are trying to say "hey, play some pg this year" because of the believed weakness at that spot on the Heat roster. Maybe he is trying to be a good leader and wants the pg's to be pg's on that team? Wade did that earlier this offseason when someone asked him about Chalmers and he said Chalmers needs to step up.
In reality, he is a playmaker. Every wing who is elite will have the ball in their hands like a point guard. Bron and Wade will handle the ball 60-70% but they won't really play point. So every player on the team will need to be on point because unless someone is really out of position, there won't be someone getting them in the right spot.
But drive and kicks galore I am assuming. So open shots for those other guys will be aplenty. Miller, Chalmers, Arroyo, James Jones, will have plenty of looks.

Yep. I'm still there, but I have to admit, the level of knowledge on this forum is 2nd to none. I've learned quite a bit, especially about earlier eras, in just the few weeks that I've been active on here.

Ah... the good ol clowning/trolling/acting days.. i did admit alot of times that i have done alot of this in the past unfortunately (even had my 1st account banned because of this, "evilmonkey"), but i am and was always really a completely different poster, especially now as alot else of the views have changed... all of it back then was just an act, just me retaliating / going with the flow in a kobetard/lebronhatred/troll infested forum, i felt also admins didnt do their job and they still kindof dont do and it still is as you can see infested with trolls, i felt it was appropriate to take it upon my own hands and treat trolls with their own medicine.... and i did explain this to the admins a couple of times...
But i stopped caring about that long time ago...... and even though it would have probably been a good idea to start fresh with a new account i still dont/didnt feel the need to do that, as im sure you can see the difference anyways.....
btw i knew it was him a few years back just cuz he kept talking about how he use to shoot 8 hrs of hoop everyday
