[/end sarcasm]

Preseason stats in two games:

3.5 PPG
3.5 RPG
1.0 APG
0.5 SPG
0.5 BPG
3.0 TOPG
FG: 12% (2-17)
3P: 0% (0-1)

25 per game

I know its preseason, I'm just saying that's AWFUL for a big man.

I wonder what we will call this upcoming era for the Raptors in 5 years. I'm guessing its going to be the "Young Guns" era, its more fitting. Don't sleep on Kleiza either.

bargs will end at 16 /7 not bad but if they had taken the safe bet with Roy then Bosh would still be there and with any good management the would be true contenders

Nobody was going to take Roy #1 buddy...that draft was pure shit at the time

Talent-wise, sky's the limit for Bargs.

His mind doesn't help him, though.

Nobody was gonna take Roy #1. It was Gay, Aldridge or Bargs. I would have gotten Gay because we obviously already had a jumpshooting PF.

16/7 can be bad. Those #'s alone don't mean anything.

What if he is getting 16/7 in 36 minutes per game while shooting 44% and 37% from 3 and still playing his usual awful overall defense? That's pretty damn bad for a starting big man.

Agreed.

I am not looking forward to our Bargs era. Maybe it will cause the end of the BC era though. So there is something for me to look forward to.

I'm still high on his game. But, again, he needs to be on a team with a real inside option. He really is a talented player.

IMO he's got a good shot for MIP if he goes hard. The situation opened up for him, that's for sure.

I know gringos really wants him on Denver, but I actually would really want him too. I hope he starts off badly so Denver can trade their expirers for him at the deadline.

I'm not one to really analysis pre-season play, and stats, but if Bargs plays this bad once the season start's, perhaps this will convince BC to ship his ass out of town.

BC still thinks he can build around Andrea. Ain't gonna happen. It's a pipe dream.

The spotlight we be solely focused on Bargnani for the first time in his career. Put or shut-up. It's now or never.

No way.
Beli is tougher, has more grit, but talent-wise Bargs is miles above him.

If Belinelli was as talented as Bargnani, he'd be Gallinari.

They should've just drafted Aldridge or Gay.

Bargnani is alright, but I was never thrilled with that pick.

.................................................. ......
Kenyon martin + tylawson + picks for bargnani + Calderon, already got kleiza for free
...............
I still think that could help both teams, esp Denver w how he is the absolute defect player to pair with carmelo and nene, plus you get a short term atleast great replacement for Lawson in calderion who is perfect as a 6th man and kmarr probably whines his way out of Canada on a buyout. This is a championship team and the beginning of a dynasty
Billups/calderon
Jr/afflalo
Carmelo
Nene/Harrington
Bargnani/birdman
...... That would be paying to win and surrounding carmelo w players who fit righ

But thhis season Kleiza will be the player who will get all the touchs.

Bargnani would be a great 3rd/4th option on a contending team as a stretch 4/5 who can put the ball on the floor and finish in traffic(to a certain extent). That being said, I'm feeling a little sorry for Toronto fans about this upcoming season, can't really see much good coming out of it.

Our only hope is in Demar Derozan and Sonny Weems and even that isn't saying much. Unless Weems holds every allstar under 15 ppg and Demar averages that or more.

Our best player is Jack and he'll probably be coming off the bench since we have another point that makes more than him. In terms of entertainment Barbosa will probably excite you the most If the Raps get out an run an its LB getting his points on the fastbreaks. Going to Friday's game (Celts) and Sunday's (Suns) hopefully I'll be impressed enough to get out to a couple of regular season games.

Wait, Bargnani has a fan! (http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/basketball/celtics/view/20101011stephane_lasme_grabbing_docs_attention/)
Well, sort of.[QUOTE]Trailing 84-83 with 2:55 remaining, the Celtics called a timeout and coach Doc Rivers asked Lasme if he could beat his man. Lasme responded that he could, and then validated his coach
