His wingspan may not be as big as you'd think it is judging by his length (because he has a narrow frame/shoulders), but his standing reach is ABSURD. Dude is crazy long. In fact, him, Bynum, and Odom all are -- it's like they each add 2" to their actual heights with their length.

im pretty sure he has the longest wingspan in the NBA not named Ilgauskas or Bynum or Yao Ming. actually i think Gasol has a longer wingspan than yao.

Hasheem Thabeet?

To me it looked like Hasheem Thabeet has short arms for his height.

Hubie Brown has said his wingspan is either 7"4 or 7"5 several times when he's called his games, I'd take his word for it since he coached him.

Also, I think Hassan Whiteside has the longest wingspan in the league now, it's 7"7.

hahaha so first it was the most talented team assemble. Now because they don't know how to play with each other, they are less talented. Talent doesn't bring championships. It's not Kobe's fault that Bron can't play well with Wade and Bosh. :lol

WTF do you mean you think? Are you blind? Yao has a shorter wingspan than his height. The biggest knock on Yao physically is he's built like a freaking penguin with his short arms relative to his height. To put it in perspective, most human beings on average will have a wingspan equal or greater than their height. Yao's wingspan is SHORTER than his height. That's his biggest physical flaw. I'm wondering if you even watch basketball now.

I'd say Gasol probably has a 7'5-7'6 wingspan. I don't think it's the longest, but historically, he'd be among the longest players ever. I think Bynum's wingspan is around 7'4. I think Ilgauskas's wingspan is around 7'5. The longest wingspan will most definitely have to go to Shaq. I read his wingspan is around 7'8. But of the younger players, definitely Hasaan Whiteside. 7'7 wingspan according to DraftExpress. That's some crazy length considering he's shorter than all those guys I mentioned above.

Throughout the course of his career: Yes
More talented at one point in time: Not even remotely close.
