At least his team as a couple of black players, so he has some players with a similar abckground and similar ways of living on the team, so he shouldn't have too many problems to settle in. Having some bros around will certainly help him to overcome homesickness too.

The Eurocup isn't as high as the Euroleague level, but it's still the Eurocup. He is playing against Hemofarm, which is a decent Adriatic League club.
No 35 year old NBA player (except maybe Jordan) can just walk into that level and start owning people. Even the Eurocup (despite being worse than the Euroleague) is about 5-10 league levels higher than the NBA D-League is.
Most NBA fans just have an incredibly distorted perception of reality when it comes to the level of European club basketball. In truth, Iverson is playing about as well as could possibly be reasonably expected. To have expected him to play any better than he has so far in his first game is ridiculous.

Brandon Jennings was barely even to the level of a role player in Roma. Granted, they were playing in a higher league, but Iverson is still playing against good competition.
NBA fans just like to greatly exaggerated to the point of absurdity about how NBA players perform in Europe. The only guy that went from the NBA to Europe and was truly a star was Dominique. And today, the level of competition in Europe is quite a bit better than it was then.

This is the type of poster that greatly exaggerates the level of NBA players against European club competition. Like I said, only one NBA player was an actual star in Europe and that was Dominique. However, there is a myth in the US that every NBA player was a superstar and super dominant if he played in Europe.
It's really a complete fantasy with no basis in reality. Compared to what most NBA players do when they first come to Europe, even if it is Eurocup and not Euroleague, Iverson is doing better than most.
Most of the guys that come from the NBA struggle like hell for quite awhile in Europe, despite all being falsely hailed as "superstars" and "dominant" on every American basketball forum.

Game Box Score:
http://www.eurocupbasketball.com/ulebcup/competition/results/showgame?gamecode=4
BTW, the field goals are not counted the same way in European box scores as they are in the NBA box scores. In order to get the field goal total you have to add the 2 point fields and the 3 point field goals together.
So in an NBA style box score, it would mean Iverson shot 4/10 from the field overall and 3/4 from 3 point range.
Also, the ranking stat is the Larry Bird plus/minus hockey stat. The European one is similar to the NBA efficiency stat, only it includes more stats than the NBA efficiency stat does.

And all those players (besides Radja who was European) played in Europe at the twilight of their careers.
Some European players played in the NBA in the "twilight" of their careers and they are universally called "scrubs" by NBA fans.
NBA fans create hundreds of myths about European basketball that are not true. What is true, is that across the board the American sports fans greatly overrate the NBA as it compares to European basketball.
Josh Childress was supposed to be the LeBron or Jordan of Euroleague. When he became just another player, suddenly no NBA fans mentioned him again, etc.
And Wilkins was not at the "twilight" of his career. Neither was McAdoo. Not by a long stretch. Wilkins averaged 18 a game in the NBA a couple of years I think after he was in Europe.
See this is how NBA fans create myths (they are lies also).........
X NBA player was at the "twilight of his career in Europe"....
"Jasikevicius was the best player in Euroleague history and he was a scrub in the NBA".
First, Wilkins for example was not at the twilight of his career, and Jasikevicius was never the best Euroleague player and actually came to the NBA himself long after his prime and after he had several leg injuries.
NBA fans like to tell a lot of lies whenever they talk about European club basketball.

Jasikevicius was 28-29 when he entered the NBA and was a scrub.
I hope your not trying to say Jasikevicius was not a superstar in the Euroleague.
Shitnoulis was in his prime-also Kleiza and Childress weren't "just another player" they were euroleague stars, Childress for example was all-Euroleague second team-IE that meant he was awarded for being the second best small forward in Euroleague-wheras in the NBA he is a role playing scrub
Shitnoulis went from being a european superstar into a 3ppg scorer who couldn't get minutes over Rafer Alston because Rafer Alston was a better long range shooter.
Read that again. Euro superstar shitnoulis cant even outshoot RAFER ALSTON

He (Jasikevicius) was well past his prime when he came to the NBA.
And Wilkins was not at the "twilight" of his career. Neither was McAdoo. Not by a long stretch.
Long time no see, Yo.

Apparently someone has failed to inform you that fans vote online for the All Euroleague teams. Including all the American NBA fans that stuff the vote every year for any former NBA rotation player.
In case you also did not know, fans are not allowed to vote for the All NBA teams.
