7 years in the league, and none of them have developed a solid midrange jumper? What have they been practicing on these 7 years? How to do more women for Wade, and how to get more stats for Lebron?
None of them can play offball because none of them can shoot consistently, even Chris Bosh is a much better midrange jumpshooter than both of them.
MJ in his 7th season is already the GOAT midrange shooter, and here people were comparing Wade and Lebron to MJ, LOL!!!

Wade and his mid range game have been bothering me lately. He believed that once LeBron and Bosh get here he will only get single coverage and will be able to eat teams alive on iso's and pick and rolls. He forgot to practice the mid-range. Can he get it back? Sure. But now that he see's teams will double him and close the lane on him he is jacking 3 pointers. He needs to get it together. Although last year he started off the season pretty bad and finished it averaging 28\7\5 on 48% after All-Star break.
LeBron on the other hand has a good mid-range game, just not a 3 point game. If you can't see that LeBron hit's mid-range J's with ease, you do not watch Miami basketball.

Meh, i was surprised how Lebron became this good of a scorer anyways. People forget that behind all that size, muscles and athleticism Lebron is more of a pass first pointguard, he came in to the NBA to be a playmaker/pointguard. Not to be like Jordan, but more rather like Magic / Penny Hardaway.... and right now he is confused to how he should be playing fulltime with this new offense, strategy, teammates, coach and etcetera, especially when his 1st scoring option (Wade) cant stay healthy and produce like he used to and especially now when they are losing.

they have fine mid range games. no teams are deliberately leaving them open at that range.
They just usually prefer to drive to the basket and draw fouls.
If they shoot too many mid range shots you'll just start saying they dont drive to the basket more and if they do both you'll just say they can't shoot 3pts

Wade Jumpshot:
Wade actually had a mid-jumper in his sixth year in the league.
Wade shot .43% at the mid while Kobe shot .44% according to 82games. 49% Wade shots were jumpers in 2008-09.
http://www.82games.com/0809/FGSORT7.HTM
In 08-09
A little bit more detail (Wade):
at <10 feet Wade shoots were 51.0%. The shot attempts were 1.4.
At 10-15 feet Wade shot around 42%. The shot attempts were 1.7.
At 16-23 feet he also shot around 42%. The shot attempts were 7.8.
Wade: http://hoopdata.com/player.aspx?name=Dwyane%20Wade
With Kobe:
At <10 feet Kobe shot 47.0%. The shot attempts were 2.2.
At 10-15 feet Kobe shot 45.0%. The shot attempts were 3.2.
At 16-23 feet Kobe shot around 42%. The shot attempts were 7.0.
Kobe: http://www.hoopdata.com/player.aspx?name=Kobe%20Bryant
Now, the reason why Wade and LeBron always had a higher FG% is because they are better at driving and finishing around the rim. But Wade that year had a pretty mid-range jumper. He developed a good mid-range jumper and was pretty good off the ball. They used to set screens for him to get open and bang, automatic. However, Wade used to pop a mid-range in people's faces more than Kobe did.
Now what happened after that? I dunno. Wade mid-jumper was gone in 09-10. He probably got it back in the second half of the season. He doesn't really look for the jumper now. He should. This could be a coach decision though. I dunno.
LeBron Jumpshot:
While LeBron was never truly as good mid-jumper as Wade prime and Kobe, he was improving and he could make it. He hardly take shots from the mid as much as Wade, Kobe, Melo and stuff.
LeBron has ALWAYS been the type of person who take the 3 point shot. Yeah, he makes it sometimes and stuff, but he gets trigger happy with the 3 too much. That's why if you look at some of their advance stats, it may say LeBron take more jumpshots than Wade or Melo or something. Probably slightly less than Kobe. It's always one of the reasons why his eFG% and TS% is so high even though he isn't a superior shooter than Kobe or Wade.
But LeBron form of shooting has improved a lot. I don't know what's going on with him. He probably lacks off the ball movement. He should come off screens to free himself for the shot rather than trying to take his man off the dribble. He CAN make the shot.
What Wade and Bron should do:
A. Wade should play like his 08-09 self. It looks like Wade can still drive, but he should come off the screens and shoot the jumper. He doesn't even look for the jumper anymore except for the 3. And he used to take people off the dribble in the mid. Now he is doing it with the 3. He also should do the "banking" the shot again. He used to do that a lot earlier in his career. He is getting better at the post, but he doesn't use often enough and it's ok. I wouldn't expect him to post bigger guards.
B. LeBron should post up and play off the ball. He should FINALLY use his size to his advantage. He is stronger and faster than anybody his size in the league. Use that as a strength. He can also come off screens to shoot the jumper.

this....his weight issues last season made Bron rely on the mid range J last year and he had some consistency to it, but this year he's lived at the rim with all the easy dunks and layups, and he's gotten back to stinking it up from mid range. Wade's mid range J has regressed too, because he himself with the great moves etc lives at the rim. it;s to the point where these two guys can't make J unless they've made a few layups and dunks first to get thier mojo going. I love guys like KD/Kobe kobe that have the ability to come in the game cold and stoke jays like water... Wade still is my fav player tho. He's been great since the return from injury.

I think due to the 2000's swingmen like Pierce,Kobe,Tmac,VC,Grant Hill... We had an era of very athletic players who could actually shoot midrange really good.
Where as late 2000's-2010's players are freakish athletes with decent Mid range.
If you are the bulls you pack the paint and live with lebron shooting midrange because guarantee he will miss more than he makes. The last 3-4 years has shown when games get tighter that jumper looks uglier in form and delivery.
Wade is better but you live with zoning him too.
I don't think you could zone Prime VC,Kobe,PP,Tmac based on the fact they could shoot

bron has one of the best pull up jumpers in the game. particularly from the top of the key. the reason zone has upset him in the past is because of the two guys at the top of the key in zone not allowing him to step into his jumpers.

Quit making shit up. Lebron's a horrible shooter, especially in the playoffs. That's when the elite teams pack the paint and he starts bricking away. That's exactly how you beat a team with Lebron on it as evidenced by the past 4 seasons.

The finals are apart of the playoffs genius. You can't disregard it because it's Lebron James.

I like Lebron's mid range game now.
Wade's is good too and he is great with pull up runners, though he is real weak with the long range game.
Lebron is shooting 42% from 16-23 feet
Wade is shooting 42% from 16-23 feet
Kobe is shooting 41% from 16-23 feet

Its not so bad... and its not like they take open jumpshots from there, its all fadeaways/off-balance contested shots from face-up/post-up moves...

Probably 50%+ from 16-23 was as automatic as it gets.
Kevin Durant is ridiculous. 48% and that's his main shot? God damn

Wade's percentage is probably gonna soar to 42% when they update in the Chicago game.
