It shouldnt be too shocking though considering what we already knew about these guys. Immense talent, diva-esque personalities at times though. This situation is probably the best thing for them in the long haul. A swift, cold hard lesson in humility seems to be working its way down their throats.

You're right.

Their games just don't flow well. That's what I loved about Boston's big three, they were right for each other. I see a lot of people throwing stones at Spo, but there's no reason why a pairing of Bosh, Lebron, and Wade should be losing to good teams consistently unless their talents do not mesh.

Personally I think Spo is a decent coach, problem is - players dont listen to him due to their ego. Lebron or Wade are bricking their shots even if they are ice cold. Pass to those who have a good evening! If Heat would have done just that (not even speaking about advanced tactic schemes), their record would be among the best in the NBA. First Wade goes 1-13, then Lebron 5-19 and 0-4, thats just ego driven stupidity.

Support cast might not be the best, but its better than MJs first championships.

I agree totally.

It's not a well put together team. What they lack most is an inside presence that can intimidate/change shots of opposing players venturing into the lane and defensive rebounding. Someone to let LBJ and Wade play the passing lanes and not have to worry about getting beat.

They have the slashers, they have the shooters. They HAVE to play fast, get easy buckets. The need defense and rebounding to do this.

I don't think anyone envisioned a scenario this bad. The Heat is a team where the sum of its parts dramatically exceeds the whole. And their problems appear unfixable.

It's not just the Heat team season that's in the balance either. The legacies of James and Wade are on the line too.


...On a positive note, in 2006, the Heat turned their season around after calling a players-only meeting... after being blown out in Dallas. And that turned out pretty well for them in the end.
