Cody Lundin is a minimalist and primitive skills survival expert and author of two books focusing primarily on survival topics. He takes a survival approach based on being as close to Mother Nature. Founder of the the Aboriginal Living Skills School in Arizona, where he teaches modern wilderness survival skills, primitive living skills, urban preparedness, and homesteading

Bear Grylls (born 7 June 1974) is a British adventurer, writer and television presenter. He is best known for his television series Born Survivor, known as Man vs. Wild in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India. He is the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest, doing so at age 23. In July 2009, Grylls was appointed the youngest ever Chief Scout at the age of 35.

Les Stroud (born October 20, 1961, in Mimico, Ontario) is a Canadian musician, film maker, and survival expert best known as the creator, writer, producer, director, cameraman and host of the television program Survivorman. After a short career behind the scenes in the music industry, Stroud became a full-time wilderness guide, survival instructor and musician based in Huntsville, Ontario. Stroud has produced survival-themed programming for The Outdoor Life Network, The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, and YTV. The survival skills imparted from watching Stroud's television programs have been cited by several people as the reason they lived through harrowing wilderness ordeals.

Mykel "Myke" Hawke (born November 29, 1965) is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and officer in the Green Berets. He is best known for his role in the Discovery Channel series Man, Woman, Wild, where he co-stars with his wife, Ruth England, a British television presenter and actress.
Hawke was one of four survival experts featured in the Discovery Channel's short lived series, Science of Survival. He appeared in episode 2, Escape from the Amazon; where he spends three days in the Amazon reducing his survival gear each successive day. Hawke also appeared as part of the helicopter rescue team in the 2009 reality television series Out of the Wild: The Alaska Experiment.

I've only watched 2 of them, so I'd say Les was better, but Bear is more entertaining.

i hate how Cody tries to be one with nature and goes barefoot, and always worries about that other guy too much. he got all mad at him for killing a gator because he could've got hurt :facepalm

survivorman is good at herbs but not much of a hunter. thats the boring part of watching him.

bear is young and athletic but i think his show is really set up the most with stunts where he looks all crazy and adventurous but i think they're all choreographed.

the married couple quit from the snow. yeah he pretended she made the choice but he would've died too.

i think they all suck. there has to be better hunters/survivors out there.

Bear is the best. Most athletic, adrenaline junkie(somewhat), ex-special forces. Whether the scenes are set up or not, it's obvious that he can survive in the wild.

Bear is the most entertaining.

But his show is not the best for survival tips. Most of the time he does crazy things just for the camera and chooses the most difficult path to make it somewhere, not a good choice if you are trying to strictly survive.

Les is your best bet if you don't know sh*t. He'll show you how to survive for a week until you can be rescued. His show is a little drier but I love it anyways.

But I want to give a shout out to Rob Bredl. Crazy chap from Australia who always walked around bare foot. Had a show in the early 00's, Killer Instinct, but these shows weren't as popular then.

Bear Gryllis by far. The best thing ever is when he catches a fish with his bear hands, smacks the shit out of it against a rock until it dies and then just tears into it raw like an animal

I don't know about surviving, but the things Bear Grylls is willing to eat in front of the camera... OMG I never miss an episode

Bear eats giant larva (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuB3kr3ckYE)

Bear sleeps in a hotel during his man vs wild shooting. So he wins by default.
