Going by last 10 games, lakers are first with 9-1!

That happens to be the games since Bynums started!

Panic over?

People shouldn't have panicked about a stretch of bad games, but they always do, and it's quite sad really.

Their schedule's gonna get a lot tougher in the coming weeks.

Lakers have also played the easiest schedule in the whole NBA. These recent stretch of games haven't been very impressive though, despite collecting the W's.

Bring this thread back up after Valentines day. Their easy schedule has ended, starting monday to valentines day, it will be good to see how they do during this part of the schedule. I predict 5+ L's.

These tough games coming up is good for L.A. Playing a bunch of a bad teams in november/december isn't exactly a good thing for this group.

Anybody who knew L.A knew once Bynum was healthly they would go on a win streak and the fact it's getting near the key part of the season the Lakers will be going out to pull up big wins. They have a tough part of the schedule coming up but this is what they would want. They will get up for these games.

Shame Barnes is out for a while, typical now that Bynum is back somebody else is out.

Disagree. It was not that it was just a stretch of bad games, but it was a stretch of bad games against *BAD* teams. No excuse for that last stretch because they should have taken care of things. Considering the next 5 games go something like this Clippers, Thunder(back to back), Mavericks, Nuggets, Jazz, now if they lose some games they are going to regret losing those ones that they should have had.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Panic over?

Maybe... they are definitely playing better recently, but for the most part they have been beating less than elite teams. If they can win sunday AND monday, that will qualify as a role IMO. Still not the elite, but they would have won quite a few games in a short span, and 2 back to backs.

Wins against Jazz, Celtics and Spurs at the end of the month will make a statement that the champs are gearing up.

no, I meant as in IF they do win those games.

Tough but with all 3 being at home you would expect them to win all 3 if they play well like they have been. We need those wins and I think Phil and co knows this.

Oh okay. I agree with you then, if they can grab wins against Boston and SA, that'll be a nice statement that they're back. Assuming they have all their pieces at the time. KG should be back by then I think.

Though it would've been more impressive if those weren't all home games for LA. Those are in the middle of a long homestand.

Sure LA hasn't played the most formidable opponents but blowing out bad teams instead of losing or playing tight games indicates they are playing vastly improved ball.

The Spurs game is feb 4th, with the road road trip just after that. Jazz game the 26th of jan.

That 7 game road trip should be no worse than 5-2.

Definitely playing together much better as of late. as long as we do that we are near impossible to beat. and to Fulk Hogan, yeah Kobe is cutting down on taking Stupid shots and focusing on other parts of the game like defense and distributing which helps make the team at its best.

deciding who is better between gasol and blake is answered differently based on a teams needs

if the lakers didnt already have a main go to guy ( kobe )...then pau is more valuable since thats hard to find

but for a team that has a go to guy.... i would rather add blake to the team than gasol ...

blake has all the things pau lacks

athleticism
effort
intensity
speed
power
dunking
defense

i would easly trade pau for blake right now
