I promised a friend if the fans vote me in the Allstar game I'll try to dunk. What was I thinking? Is this where I ask fans to stop voting for me?

:facepalm
Hell, if he actually manages to dunk just stop it all right there and give him his 3rd MVP! :lol

I played HS ball in Indiana and saw plenty of sub 6'5" white guys dunk. How is Nash any different.
He's 6 feet plus and works out all the time....why would it be so amazing to see him do a simple dunk?

A Steve Nash dunk would be better than any dunk contest dunk!
Vote Nash, watch him do his 1st dunk attempt in the NBA All Star Game!
Aye hold up? did Nash really say that? where's a link?

Because he has never done that in his whole long NBA carreer.

We're gonna need to turn the vertical slider up for Nash.
Maybe up the dunk ability slider too so he can do something really cool
And of course increase the durability slider so that he doesn't get hurt while attempting something

I don't believe that (he doesn't KNOW if he can dunk or not).
I would bet that he can dunk (basic one handed dunk) quite easily.
If he did it in a regular season game I'd be kinda hype because he doesn't dunk but I don't see the big deal overall.

Why not? Jeff Hornacek was the same way. When asked if he could dunk, he said he doesn't know because he never tried. But here's Nash's exact quote

I doubt it. His best elevation is off his right leg too so that would make it that much more difficult for him because he would have to dunk left handed or 2 handed in that case. Right hand- right foot is possible, but because your body balance would be off (unless you practice it that way over a long period), you have to jump even higher to make up for it.
You can probably find a video of him doing a good finger roll with his hand at or slightly above the rim, but I know for experience that that's still a big difference the last couple of inches needed to dunk.

The real highlight would not be Nash dunking, but him falling on his ass after the ball hits the front of the rim. Actually, I'm wrong. It would watching the allstars and celebrities laughing as the camera will obviously focus on them right after it happens.
Either way, I'm voting for Nash now.

He can obviously dunk. He's 6'3 and definitely has higher than normal hops. Hell, I'm 6'0 and I can dunk. The question is, is there ever an appropriate time for Nash to dunk instead of a clean layup or nice assist?

But people please, he can Dunk, that much should be obvious. The thing is that it's probably not a 100% dunk even on a fast-break situation. So why risk the 2 points if a lay-up for him is 100%...

Someone asked Jason Kidd if he could still dunk. He said the last time he tried he could, but that was a year ago. He wasn't going to try it now, because, he's 37 years old and it wasn't worth the risk of injury.
