Just letting you guys know. If you go to the site it would ask/require you to install a plugin, which is really a virus. A remote access tool/trogan that grants them access to your computer.

Its a routine operation to do for "black hat" hackers trying to obtain victims, once a popular site is down, you create a clone to replace it thus making people believe its the real new one. You can then easily get them to download specially crafted files to their computer.

Too bad many people are falling for it!

The real site is atdhenet.tv
For those who use it.

Actually not. There is a difference between a "virus" and a "ad".
What you see on the original atdhe are ads which brings the owner of the site profit to have ads run on his site.

All those plugins you download to view the games are spyware/malware/trojans. Think about it, Someone just offers free streaming without getting any compensation for it ? You have to be gullible to think that. :oldlol:.

I ended up installing it i think it was called Vshare but this was before they got closed down. It was actually more than 4 months ago. It wouldn't let me watch some things without having the vshare installed. I disabled it using firefox when it wasn't sunday since i wasn't watching NFL games. I had no problems and i uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times. I also have Microsoft Security Essentials that didn't catch anything.

Nope. But i have also had viruses and trojans before and my computer goes haywire with many popup sites and redirections and it hasn't done any of that.

That's because there are different types of viruses made to accomplish different things.

The most prominent ones, the silent ones are the bot-nets. If you are apart of a bot-net, then your computer will keep sending data and information back to command and control.

That information could contain your email passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, personal informations, your computer could be used to make and receive transactions, etc...

Since new viruses are encrypted with new encryptions which takes long for anti-virus programs to catch on, the best way to avoid them is to detour from the sites that most like would have them or avoid downloading those suspicious files.

Another way is to scan the files online, through virustotal.com or at last run it "sandboxed" on your computer.

Actually they do have blackouts, depends on the location even if you are international.
When I was looking through the source code for it, I saw alot of codes for blackout restriction. I was puzzled because I thought why would they black games out for international viewers. :facepalm

Fatal9 lives in Canada I think and he informed me that some games are blacked out on his ILP like tnt, abc, espn, nba tv games...etc.

Don't you have a Restore cd for your computer? Or why not restore it to about a week ago through your computers restore program?

By the way download this: Mareware Bytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) Free.

Do they really require plug-ins to be installed outside of flash?

I never had to install anything on any of those type of sites, which is weird it would let me view the content. I'm on Ubuntu most the time but I've been there on Win7 as well, both using Firefox.

You shouldn't have to install anything outside of flash. But hackers are smart, they would create a fake message saying your flash is outdated and that you need to update it. Then they give you some fake link or ask you to update now.

Ofcourse its not really a flash update that you are downloading. But rather their specially crafted virus.

If you want to use atdhe, use atdhenet.tv

i would've really liked watching online since all the good nba games are not shown in our country (a sports channel has bought all the rights to broadcast the games and has decided to offer the games on a new channel that you will have to subscribe to. problem is, our cable company is not offering that channel) (i think that's also the reason why you see blackouts on some parts. because a major network has bought all the rights and wants everything to go through them) however, my main problem is, even if i have access to watch online games (i've been able to stream atdhe) my internet is too slow to watch the stream smoothly.http://www.speedtest.net/result/1141752298.png (http://www.speedtest.net)
if Hogan or anyone in here can help and advise me on how to speed up my net access, would appreciate it greatly

^^ Yeah Hulk...I'd love to know what was asked above. How to make your net run faster. I mean, I don't have problems running the stream at all, but sometimes I can hear my pc fan? rev up and those noises in the pc thus slows the feed down.

On top of performing shows, musicians live off of album sales. Cable/Satellite providers rely on ad revenue on top of monthly subscribers. Have you ever download an mp3? I'm sure you have. Watched live streams of a sporting event, watched TV shows online, or listened to music on YouTube that's been illegally uploaded to a video? I'm sure you have. I wouldn't be tossing around the parasite label you hypocrite.

I'm a web developer, since that's probably big boy language for you I'll spell it out. I design, develop, host, and maintain websites for a living. I've utilized Google AdSense, AdMob, and iAd more than I care to because of client requests. These add-ons don't make a dent, and my clients range from low-profile small businesses to large scale firms.

ISH is not going to feel the hurt of 1 person out of I'm guessing hundreds of thousands unique users each day blocking advertisements.

Go learn about tracking cookies, malware/spyware/viruses that can be buried in advertisements Facebook, Bing, and Google privacy issues, etc. Don't talk about things you have no clue about.
