Didn't "Iverson Ball" make the finals? (I honestly didn't follow the Sixers, even in the Finals I'd watch, but I wasn't a big fan of the NBA then), it has to be better then Wade ball.

the east when iverson made the finals was the weakest conference in NBA history, and iverson himself didn't put amazing stats like the others did

So are you judging "(player) ball" based on individual accolades and stats or how far they got with their respective teams? If its the latter then Iverson ball would be tops even though the road to the finals was easy but it was the same for LeBron getting to the finals. If it's stats then MJ is tops by far. He had more years of shitty teams also.

That trip to the finals was an even bigger joke than LeBron's in 2007.

They beat the 41-41 Pacers, 47-35 Raptors, and 52-30 Bucks.

And I guess we're going to just act like they didn't have Mutumbo and Ratliff absolutely owning the paint averaging 6 blocks per game. Hell Mutumbo won DPOY that year and Rafliff led the league in blocks at 4 per game

true but 2001 pacers/raptors/bucks > 2007 wizards/nets/pistons and the 2001 lakers > 2007 spurs and iverson performed better against the lakers did better than lebron against the spurs

Easily Lebron at number one.. Stop hating him.. Without him the Cavs are horrible.. They were bad even when MO, varejo, boobie and all were healthy.. They added Jamison and got rid of shaq ,z, and west.. The Cavs won 66 without shaq.. When west and mo were injured they kept winning last year.. The dude is a flat out baller... What hasn't been proven is that he can win AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.. He has a very good team but not the best in the league currently.. I don' t think they can beat the Celtics or a ready to play Laker team but by next year They have to win a title.. A big, filling the center position will lift them to the top.. That would be a different order... But the question you asked only has one reasonable answer.. That is lebron.. And MJ is one of my favs...

the cavs team bron was on were far better than the 80s bulls.

and not just the fact that they are a totally different team, new coach new system, lost key players and a lot of players have been injured this year.

its not strange for a team to struggle without its star player . look at the 1997 spurs without david robinison. many regular season wins are nice but its been done many times before, even by teams that are a one man show.

Wade ball: 2008-2010

Iverson ball: 2000-2003

Jordan ball: 1987-90

:oldlol: 1990 wouldn't qualify as "Jordan ball". MJ wasn't as ball dominant and he wasn't the only good player on a bad team.

And no, Lebron wasn't in 2009 and 2010 either. Those teams overachieved because of Lebron, but they had shooters and they were one of the better defensive teams. Not championship-caliber, but not comparable to Kobe's '05-'07 cast. '08 Lebron would qualify, though.

There's a clear difference between '87-'89 Jordan's teams, '05-'07 Kobe's teams and '08-'10 Wade's teams and both '09/'10 Lebron's teams and Iverson's '00-'03 teams.

By the way, a truly crappy cast that was carried would be T-Mac's 2003 team.

Part of your thread implies a ball dominant offensive player carrying a team at that end, in which case, all of the players qualify(except for 1990 Jordan who was already becoming less ball dominant), but don't put in that crap about being the "only good player" or playing on a "shitty team" and then group in the '09/'10 Cavs, '90 Bulls and '01 Sixers with Kobe's '05-'07 Lakers, Wade's '08-'10 Heat and Jordan's '87-'89 Bulls.

As far as one player carrying a team offensively, '09 and '10 Lebron might be the best of the group at doing that.

That trip to the finals was an even bigger joke than LeBron's in 2007.

They beat the 41-41 Pacers, 47-35 Raptors, and 52-30 Bucks.

The 2001 East wasn't quite as pathetic as the 2007 East. 2002, 2003 and 2007 are the worst Eastern Conference years of the 2000s.

And I guess we're going to just act like they didn't have Mutumbo and Ratliff absolutely owning the paint averaging 6 blocks per game. Hell Mutumbo won DPOY that year and Rafliff led the league in blocks at 4 per game

Did you watch basketball back then? Mutombo and Ratliff didn't play together, they were traded for each other. Though people do overlook how important the Sixers defense was when discussing that team.

They started this losing streak with all their players... Matter of fact they only lost Z AND WEST from the 66 win team...Besides lebron.. When you consider that they added sessions, jamison , hughes and some others.. Shaq, MO, and west were all out last year for long periods yet they still won without them....

THE MAIN INGREDIENT IS LEBRON... And no I don't think Lebron is better than MJ.... Damn these mj fans are getting all mad.. Funny thing is I am a far bigger MJ fan than I am a fan of bron...

Whenever Phil started coaching the Bulls, Jordan started to dominate the ball less.

But yeah, probably either LeBron or MJ ball. With MJ ball, I think they went to the ECF a few times and upseted teams. With LeBron ball, they went to the NBA Finals.

But they were never truly crappy teams. They were all decent teams in a system.

Kobe/Wade/Iverson ball is different. Different situations. Iverson actually had a decent team. Better than Wade/Kobe when they handled the ball a lot. Especially when they got Mutombo. They had Larry Brown too. Kobe had Phil and Odom, but not much else. Wade had a bunch of rookies.

If you're second best scorer is Sam Vincent, and you won 50 games in a tough East (Boston and Pistons being top teams) and reached the East Semis, you kinda you have a big claim to the top spot. As much as Mo Williams is being lambasted, he is a much better player than Dave Corzine and Sam Vincent.

Do YOU even know who Sam Vincent is? I thought so.

absolutely correct. you got that part right. MJ proved it with his stats & playing all full 4 seasons missing only 1 game. & in playoffs he got even better which is unimaginable.

'86-'87: 82 .482FG% .182 3.20 5.20 4.6 2.88 1.52 3.32 2.90 37.1

'87-'88: 82 .535FG% .132 3.80 5.50 5.9 3.16 1.60 3.07 3.30 35.0

'88-'89: 81 .538FG% .276 6.20 8.00 8.0 2.89 .80 3.58 3.00 32.5

'89-'90: 82 .526FG% .376 5.10 6.90 6.3 2.77 .66 3.01 2.90 33.6

only reason why MJ didn't win 4 conseq MVPs cuz of GOAT Magic & GOAT Bird. take these 2 out. MJ will kill Isiah, drexler & crew. easily. adjust that against Lebron, kobe, wade. its not even a contest. MJ will win 4 MVPs, 4 finals MVPs, 2 DPOY.

loosing MVPs to GOATs Magic & Bird is better than Lebron winning MVPs against non-GOATS great players like Kobe, Wade.

another homosexual comment.

what part of full 82 games played. & ave 32.5/8/8 at 53%FG shooting & 3.1spg steals leader do you not get.

What part of playing all 82 games & ave 35ppg & winning Reg sea MVP & DPOY (over rodman) in a same year over Magic/Bird/Isiah/Ewing/Olaijawon/Barkley do you not understand.Leborn playing in much more diluted league talent wise & still cannot out do MJ & still has to rest the last 5 games in reg season to recover & not get injured.

MJ is GOAT & notch higher than Lebron '07-'10 & 2 notches higher than /05-/07 kobe.

Lebron lead his shitty team to two 60+ seasons and the first thing that happens when he leaves is that they become the worst team in history. Basically, Lebron took the worst team in history and made them win 60+ two seasons in a row. If it wasn't for Jordan being the GOAT I would say Lebron work with Cleveland is GOAT worthy.

ok. calm down.

i think mj is the GOAT. like i said in my post. but please don't come on here and act like this is an easy answer between lebron and jordan. its not. this isn't who was the better player.

lebron led the cavs to 66 wins in 09. 66 ****ing wins mate. does that not impress you at all?

like i said. i'd have to really delve deeply into this stuff to come out with an answer. but i do know that jordan/lebron would be 1/2...and the gap between them is extremely small for this criteria if there even is a gap.
