Trailerpark Boys Season 4 -

They must have recently added this. I love this series. Keep in mind that it is very low grade cinematography and is a mockumentary (ala the office but much lower grade) about three guys in a trailerpark in halifax. If you get into it, it is brilliant. Best canadian tv I can recall (not that I watch much). Keeping in mind that I love this type of humor I have to rate this 9/10
Rickyisms! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfq3c4Cf1Fs)

next up, the 5th element.

"Love the Beast" a documentary written and directed by the actor eric bana...

it's about his 20 years plus love affair with his first car which he still has today despite all his fame and fortune...

if you're a car/racing person it's a good movie, well worth the time spent...

Watched the first epidsode of Spartacus Blood and Sand last night. I gotta say it was quite entertaining. Interesting graphic novel style stop-frame violence and overall a storyline that kept you engaged (if a little superficial). I would give the first episode something like 7/10, which could go up or down depending on the rest of the season.

I love Netflix, but after a while I stopped watching the instant movies for a while. The next instant movie I might watch is Sleepers.

All I really do with Netflix now is order the DVD's of Television shows. I started Entourage back in late December/ Early January and I'm about to start season 7, but its not available yet so I'm going to get started on my next series.

I put Mad Men Season 1 on my queue just because I haven't heard 1 bad thing about it yet. I'm eager to start that series.

I'll post about what ever I watch in about a week or so.

Watched this last night while doing some busywork around the house. A fairly engaging "future" story about a prison island with a mass of savage outsiders and the rebuilt civilization of the insiders (scenes seemed like it could have been waterworld on land).

I picked it cause I tend to like future primitive movies and it was rated 4 stars by netflix for me. Not a great movie, but fun. 6/10

Great acting, no budget, but awesome effects.

Watched Grown Ups yesterday.
I decided to see it because it's an Adam Sandler movie after all.
The film had its funny moments, and I had like 3-5 laughs throughout the movie. But the movie has no real plot, just a couple of guys getting together pulling pranks, making shallow jokes with each other.

We can all tell that there was no real script for the movie. Adam just called up his SNL drinking buddies and said, "Hey, Let's take a vacation and film it for $80 million and charge people for it". Adam Sandler plays just a lazier version of himself. There is nothing he does in his movie that is amusing, but he did manage to crack himself up in nearly every scene. So at least he has that going for him.
Chris Rock was much better in Death at a funeral.
Overall, this movie is a so so at best.

these idiots are forcing subscribers to use 2 different websites now for streaming and ordering. i've been on the verge of canceling for a while since i've watched a lot of their streams already, and i barely order new movies these days, but was still procrastinating but now that they come out with this stupid idea to force users to login and use 2 different sites is ridiculous :facepalm on the heels of a mass apology email to their customers they drop this stupidity....

i swear people in high places can be so out of touch.

Yeah, that apology was definitely not sincere, he had that little grin on his face.

I think the reason they are splitting the services is for the sake of Netflix looking good. By making the services separate, all that lost revenue goes on to Qwikster, making Netflix look better.

Netflix basically killed the best deal. First they raise prices without improvement in content, then they inconvenience us by separating the services, and they are not getting Starz Play renewed next year.

People complaining about the raise in prices need to STFU. An extra $7 or whatever it is a month isn't gonna kill you, that's the cost of a f*cking burrito at Chipotle. Stop crying.

However, this split between Netflix and Qwikster is a HORRIBLE business decision. So now I'll be billed by two companies with two separate websites? Go f*ck yourselves. And what the hell kind of name is Qwikster? Is this 1999? What dolt, out of touch marketing "genius" came up with that name. I'll be dropping Netflix/Qwikster, not because of the rate hike, but because this has become nothing but an inconvenience. Their DVD delivery has been pissing me off anyway with sooo many unavailable discs. Hello, Amazon Video or Hulu Plus. Netflix/Qwikster is gonna crash and burn due to this.

Just watched "Dive!: Living Off America's Waste." It's a documentary that chronicles how much food is wasted each day just by grocery stores dumping food a day or two before an expiration date that is already a conservative guess on when the food will go bad. The narrator and his friends go dumpster diving around the Los Angeles area and essentially live off the food the get from diving. They also try to contact the CEO of Trader Joe's to see why they are not doing more to prevent waste, but its all to no avail.

All in all it was a pretty good and eye opening documentary, I'd give it probably an 8/10.

If you don't feel like paying for Netflix, you can get some free streaming of movies and TV on smartphone by combining a few different sites........

Crackle.com
TV.com
CBS.com (stream all their shows)

Probably find more if I looked..........
