If he is not going to count Perk missing game 7, then he should not count the entire 09 playoffs, the 1st round against Chicago in 08 in which someone got suspended, and the 1st round against Miami last year.

Yeah, and the Lakers not having Bynum and Ariza in the 2008 Finals was also a pretty big deal. The difference is that Phil Jackson never made that excuse. What Doc did was a shot at the Lakers and just plain disrespectful. And it's not like the Celtics were depleted after Perkins' injury; they had Rasheed, who played extremely well.

I agree with what someone said that Green is the better player but Perkins fits the Celtics better. And the Celtics traded another big as well so I guess they are putting all their chips on Shaq JO. Big Gamble IMO.
