"I told my team, I'm not going to continue to fail late in games," James said. "I put a lot of blame on myself tonight. I told the guys that I just keep failing them late in games and I won't continue to do that."
And so the official LeBron era begins in Miami...

Wasn't trying real hard to win was what he tried doing? I don't see what he means by this unless he magically actually gets the ball in when he attempts to drive or shoot during the clutch. Not much blame on him though fault Wade he needs to take the role of wanting the ball & telling them it's my turn to clutch when it comes down to but he hasn't.

Except they're not blessed with a world-class athletic talent that brings them millions upon millions of dollars and a celebrity that makes everyone treat them like royalty no matter how crass they and narcissistic they are like LeBron. Most of their lives remain shit until they die.

He is clutch. Very clutch. Boston series. Chicago series. But I know that for majority on here he is held to unreal standards. He should hit a clutch shot in every single freaking regular season game and in every game of playoff series and then MAYBE some of you guys would consider him clutch. Big MAYBE, though.

During this past season he shot 43.6% from the field, 23.8% from during clutch situations.

LeBron had a poor regular season in terms of so-called "clutchness", but he usually is among the leaders in that "category". IF you're wondering why I have quotation marks, it's because I don't think clutch is a logical theory, and if it truly does exist, it is of marginal significance. And no, I am not saying this to defend LeBron, by pretty much all "clutch" measures he has been "clutch" over his career.

And in the finals he was outscored by Jason Terry. He didn't really fail at the end of games, he spread the fail out over the entire games.

That's why I mentioned Boston and Chicago series. In the regular season he missed a ton of gamewinners, just remember all those gif's. But in the playoffs(excluding finals) he was hitting important shots when his team nedded him the most, against 2 very good teams. But like I said before for majority on here he should be playing like he did against Boston and Chicago for the whole playoffs. All 4 rounds. And if you agree with me or not, these are very high standards which are expected only from him right now. And yet most of you still insist he is not the best player in the league?

LOL the way people talk about LeBron makes it seem like he's ****ing Brian Scalabrine and then those same people turn around and blast him if he doesn't perform absolutely perfectly (and if he does, they just go "oh well so what he should do that every game" or some BS).

He isn't supposed to play well for just 2 series, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6. He made his bed when he made his DECISION. When you throw a big 3 party like they did the expectations are going to be championship or bust.

Funny how you change the subject from ''clutchness'' to ''playing well''. I was talking about clutch shots and if you expect from him every single game the kind of play he showed against Boston and Chicago at the end of games, then you will be disappointed, even God himself is not capable of doing that.

Talking about ''playing well'', you just reminded me of one more example regarding Lebron/all other superstars. I don't know if for any of those players, Wade, Kobe, Howard, Dirk, Durant,... is having a triple double in the Finals considered a failure? Well, for Lebron it is. There you have it, playing ''well'' and different standards.

Averaging 9 points below your season average in the finals is a failure for any player.

Averaging less than half as many free throws while shooting 60% from the foul line in the finals is a failure for any player.

Even in his triple double he took 19 shots to score 17 points in 46 minutes. BFD

While I won't contend that Lebron is somehow not clutch, because frankly he does come through. However, while Lebron sits pretty on the top statistically in those lists above, why then.....

does Bosh, his own teammate, thinks Wade is a better closer than him? And Wade sits far from the top in any of those lists. Why do you think that is? I know he isn't basing his opinion off of stats cause he has first hand experience on how Lebron plays in the clutch.

And take a look back to the 08 summer games. During the final minutes of the gold medal game, who were all the teammates, including Lebron, deferring to? Yes Lebron played great throughout those games as did Wade, but when in came down to the nitty gritty of the final moments of a do or die game, they looked to Kobe.

Crazy isn't it considering all those stats above. Makes one think....or at least, it should.

According to Bosh he chose Wade because he's faster and more able to get a quick shot off. He also is a champ.

But that doesn't negate the cold hard facts of the stats.

Bosh doesn't know shit. Wade probably just pulled the "Its my team" card to get himself the ball at the end. It's worked a few times this season, so they ran with it.
