Doubt it, getting your number retired isn't always about how good of a player you were, and you only played for 4-5 years, it's an award for more of a commitment to the franchise for a long time, and still being relatively good.

He was committed to the franchise while here and I believe was with them longer than AD or Horny. Was the franchise commited to him?

You really think Deron was committed to the Jazz's franchise, because he was calling out the organization for not resigning Ronnie Brewer, and not making enough moves, which I guess you can understand, but he made a lot of statements in the media that really looked like he was leaving, he didn't look committed to a future in Utah to me, was the Jazz committed to him?
