Obviously they're not official, but the "Which NBA teams need new jerseys?" thread got me thinking on possible ideas for the Miami Heat. Lemme know what you guys think about this:

Didn't they come up with the "miami vice" jersey 2 years ago? I remember that thread here in ISH. The colors were neon pink + teal. They were absolutely gorgeous if you're planning on strolling in south beach

Heat fans pissed cuz I messed with their precious team's jerseys. Not really much to build on for a team with so little worthwhile history. I mean 1 gift-wrapped championship in like 30 years of existence is a pretty sh*tty record. They almost don't even deserve a proper jersey.

Their original is a rip of the Jordan-era Bulls with it's red & black wannabe-sinister-looking color scheme, as if other teams might confuse them with the Bulls and be scared. Red & black doesn't say "heat" at all. Now teal & orange... THAT just screams hot times on South Beach.

Someone mentioned that the alternate looks like it should be worn to the beach. Exactly! That's the point. What better way to celebrate Miami beach culture than with a uni like that. All they need is flip-flops instead of sneakers and it's the perfect look. The Heat should get a lot of use from that one anyway since they'll be spending June on the beach.

I guess I offended Heat fans by not reflecting the true values and reality of the place. Maybe if the numbers were done in blow and the jersey were made of recycled condoms from man-on-man b*ttf*cking then they would feel it represents Miami a little better.
