Can someone help me with this?
I mean i see thousand of movie scenes being added and nobody takes them off.
I see thousand of songs, unauthorised being put on youtube with lyrics with this and with that.
I try to put the movie scene from Prison break where T-bag is rioting and yells ""Get on the train"" and immediatly my 40 second video gets blocked due to copyright.
There must be a way around this, because a lot of people upload their videos without any problems. I am just curious how to do it so they won't get me.
And it is not really them, i think they have a system that automaticl;y check this sh1t

Good luck with clips from TV shows, the networks all hire people to scan for and report that stuff.

just claim you don't know why they blocked your content, there's an option to do that. that's how i saved my scene from half baked.

edit your video, like put songs on it and make it so that it appears as a "new creation." try making it a montage or putting captions or funny art in it. anything that will make it a derived copy and not exactly as the original. that oughta get it out of copyright violations.

I always wondered how you get copyrighted stuff on YouTube. People upload actual songs, but when I upload a game video that has songs on it, they block the songs.

You can try reversing the clip through video editing process to fool YT's scanner.
What do you mean reverse it? Wouldn't that just upload the video or song backwards?

He means mirroring it.

I'm kind of curious how all this works as well. When someone brandishes a highlight tape with a soundtrack, is it up to that artist or artist's company as to whether it will be removed? I can't remember when this happened, but it seems a lot of videos are now automatically accompanied by a little iTunes link underneath for those who wish to purchase the song included.
If it's up to the specific artist or their label, I respect those who allow their music to be used in such a fashion. I find their willingness to share their music to be mutually beneficial.

Yeah, I had that problem before.
The best thing to do is contact them and get the permission to use the content in the first place.
If not, then...
First of all, edit your video a little, change things around, like putting text captions, etc on it, so it's kinda of a new creation.
And, mirroring it is a good way to avoid copyright for certain TV movie clips.
You can add your own tiny watermark in the corner.
When appealing, this phase:
Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
As long as your using it for non-profit purposes, it usually isn't a big deal.

And usually it's better off just to ask the original author for permission.
Usually those underground artists will allow you to use their music, because it's free advertising for their music.

Freakin youtube took the audio off a video of mine because it contained some songs that were copyrighted ( video was uploaded in 2006 prior to this rule but they took audio off in 2010). Is there a way to get the audio back or did I just flat out lose the videos audio?
