Nope, because he didn't wanna come to NY when he had the chance.
Screw LeBron.

If it was Melo for LeBron, no. LeBron doesn't want to be under the bright lights here, and that's clear.
We'll give you Mike D'Antoni for Dwyane Wade though.

I would trade Melo for LeBron and then immediately flip LeBron for Dwight.

I don't see why Lebron wouldn't want to play in NY, the douchebag capitol of the world.

Are people out there on this board insane or what?
You've already established something like this, after a mere chunk of games? Not an entire season, nor after a training camp together....no......a small chunk of games, and its ALL OVER, TRADE CARMELO, HE RUINED THE TEAM!
Christ, this board is collectively not very bright, nor are they patient.

They aren't Knicks fans, only fans of certain players.
Only a fool would want a player on their team that said NO, I don't want you.

all of you who say its melos fault are god damn IIIIIIIdiots
the knicks suck because
A) they gutted their team for 1 guy and a hasbeen
B) their coach doesnt teach defense
melo is just fine. nothing wrong with him.
i personaly think lebron has more to offer a team. but he offers too much of whatever it is to get his numbers. too much lebron = stagnant offense

He might not fit in with the team but certainly his attitude is on par with the majority of the fan base. The world revolves around the under acheiving Lebron just like the fan's world revolves around the under acheiving Knicks. We haven't won anything in 37 years but yet we think we are god's gift to the NBA.

And yet he is the only reason why the Magic didn't blow us out of the building last night.
He was the best player on the court (OK,Dwight, but our weak centers were guarding him so that was a pick-up game for him).
He was efficient and he was setting easy looks for the teammates, much better than Billups/Douglas do.

no ..most great perimeter players have jumpshots so the chance of winning a championship is the same with the 2

Melo has made it out of the first round of the playoffs just once. This guy is not even close to valuable. I would trade him for almost any perennial all-star in the NBA, as long as that player is not old.

Watch some Heats Games. You guys needs to be updated. Melo is not even consistent enough to lead his team deeper into the playoffs. He only advanced in the 2nd round when the Nuggets acquired Billups.

If I'm the Knicks, I would look for a package of good young players to build around for Melo.
Something like a Gallinari, Chandler, Felton, Mozgov for Melo and Billups. Just off the top of my head.

Is it safe to say the Anthony trade ruined the Knicks? I said it at the time. Still seems legit to me.

Gallo and Wilson chandler would make the team better, or you know you're dumb and just want to say something dumb?

Stoudemire would've gone down either way. Maybe even Galinari too but that might have just been a freak injury so who knows.
Either way the Knicks would've been ****ed

The Anthony trade helped get us to this point. Phil would not have taken the gig without Anthony on board IMO. I'm happy that the owner has stepped back, a system is being implemented and they are re-building the proper way after 30 years.
LeBron being the best player in the game currently... of course I would make the trade.
