Damn... had that the other day. Have to say though, shrimp is the best flavor, especially when you get those gummy-bear textured "shrimp" once in a while. Goes down real well with a pint of guinness as does everything including eggs like tonight.

no hes not. Last night I had a nice angel hair pasta with a chipotle pasta sauce (hand made by my lovely wife) and sauteed kale.
Now, sure most of the dorm kids arent going to cook, but I am a litttle disappointed to see so many people eating out (pay more for crap food, for 20 bucks I can make a killer 3 or 4 course meal for 2 people at home) and eating unhealthily. But I guess thats why we are the fattest society ever and 6 of our 10 most common causes of death are all diet related.

Damn though the McDouble is heavenly, so flavorful and juicy always had been drilled that McDonalds BEEF was dry, dull, tasteless and even fake, but it tasted better than an In N Out Burger to me and I'm a big fan of those.

it's very easy to cook, doesn't take longer than an hour.
my personal favorite though is red chile chimichanga(red beef), but i've never cooked one of those myself. their is a small restaurant that cooks the best chimi's in phx. they cost about 8 dollars without any sides(no rice or beans) but they are worth it. i hate that many people do their own variations though because they end up killing it. :facepalm honestly, i've been to tons of mexican restaurants in phoenix and none of them have served me a good chimi like my local spot.

perfectly seasoned chicken breast slow simmered with fresh herbs wrapped inside corn tortillas that were neither too tough nor too chewy topped with a perfect little slither of melting asadero cheese on each enchilada so that every bite had a little cheese on it.
served with a fresh tomatillo salsa verde and some special imported sour cream on the side so you could add both to taste.

Thanks so much for posting. Although I think Adria is a genius and I appreciate his contributions to world cuisine, I think if I were to travel to Spain I'd much rather prefer to taste the authentinc regional (peasant if you will) fare. Fresh ingredients cooked with love and tradition are what great food is all about.
Then El Celler de ca'n Fabes is your place. Keep it in mind should you ever visit. Blows Adria out of the water imo.

Nice little surf and turf there. I had a duck confit flatbread over the weekend that was off the charts.
Vapid, I've been meaning to ask you what you think of the whole "molecular gastronomy" thing since you've been to El Bulli.
I unfortunately have never been (and I guess never will) go to El Bulli. Molecular gastronomy is awesome in my opinion. Any new angle/perspective on bringing out different tastes and textures is a plus in my book.
I had ding tai fung today. Awesome as always. Going to Singapore in June, excited for the food there.

I made it. Trader Joe's had a special on Frenched rack of lamb so I bought one and cut it into chops.

I did a sirloin soaked in Balsamic, Sugar, and Cherry Juice. I took the stuff and reduced it into a glaze too. Broccoli roasted with Garlic. And Isreali couscous with roasted red peppers, shallot, garlic, basil, and some baby shrimp I panned off first.
That glaze went pretty well on everything.

Sounds incredible. Israeli couscous is f*cking awesome. It's become my go-to starch on week nights.

prime ribeye from costco, potato stack, serrano pepper, thinly sliced garlic
sous vide for 2hrs @137F then a quick sear over a lump charcoal grill. a lot of effort but it's worth it on a good cut of beef.
