I once knew a guy (he was about 15 at the time) who looked identical to Kurt Cobain. It was kind of wild because Nirvana was also his favorite band.

I hate when fakkits try to overcompensate acting cool because they listen certain type of music. You still a fakkit, no matter how much you listen to Nirvana. Leave this thread for the real fan k.a.c

really sucked for me. i discovered nirvana late, but had particularly fallen in love with their unplugged album. and it helped inspire me to learn guitar a couple years later.
then he was gone, just like that. :(

It's weird. I really don't like Nirvana's music but am a fan of Cobain as a person from what I have read about him. Seems like a very conscious individual

Talented and enigmatic individual, but Nirvana has never been my special taste.
At least he was a role-model for all those pre-emo emotionally insecure depressed teens of the 90s.

I'm telling the truth though, right? You probably just got into Nirvana 2 weeks ago by doing a little wikipedia and download all of their music. Can't even remember on line from them. Now you made this thread just to get props and cats could say, "damn this kid knows music." fukkoutta here!
Also, you're the type of person d1ckride the newest of new artist just to say you were one of the first no matter how wack they are. You're making us J Cole fans look bad.

shut your mouth ese.
Nirvana is the sh!t. Riddler got me all into Unsolved Mysteries like a week back, and at one point I watched the one they had about Kurt's suicide. "Was it actually a homocide??" was the premise. I still think it was a suicide, but it definitely made for an interesting episode.
Nirvana occasionally had some real crappy songs, but most of their stuff was top notch. I can even get my mom to listen to songs like Polly and Come as you are, so they have more appeal than just emo teenagers. Unless you think my Mom is emo, but odds are she coulda kicked most of your asses back in her day.
Rip Kurt, if you were still alive you'd probably be doing some crappy reunion album
Nirvana was ill, but today is da 4th, not 5th man.

Nice little article with 10 Nirvana photos (http://www.mojo4music.com/13271/10-nirvana-photographs-affirm-greatness/) and the photographers describing what was going on when they took the shot.

it still hurts. i came in around the time of their unplugged album, loved it to death, enjoyed kurt's vaguely nihilistic banter and discovered a bunch of new songs, including the bowie and ledbelly ones. learned to play some of them a few years later.
yea, i really liked a lot of that grunge and alt / rock movement in the mid-90's. wish kurt could have lived and those movements gone on longer.

Probably wasn't a coincidence that he would style himself after Kurt.

Nevermind is average. In Utero is a great album though.
Grohl obviously has more talent than both Krist and Cobain had combined though. Great song writer, average guitar player/screamer.

Eh, no. He's pretty average, good for a couple of solid moments per album. That's it.
I don't think he killed himself.
The guy literally wrote a humorless song titled "I Hate Myself and Want to Die", but somehow it isn't believable that he killed himself. Okaay. People will make a conspiracy theory out of anything.
