Even in Pauls athletic 2008 frame, he was fundamental and didnt rely on his quicks and speed. ROse hasnt faced adversity with his athletiscm yet and Im curious to see how he handles it.

3 years isnt a big factor when you factor in ability and style of play.

Rose doesn't use nearly as many screens as chris paul, and he cannot finish in traffic nearly as well as Rose. Rose has done more in his career than Paul has up to this Point. Rose is better.

I was with you until this part. You can think highly of Paul without spouting lies about Rose. Boozer is worse because of injuries and playing softer than he should be. Deng is having one of the best seasons of his career. Korver is doing exactly what we signed him up to do, hit clutch 3's in the fourth. Watson is Rose's backup, he barely ever even plays with Rose!!

i swear this happens every two games. they do different things for their team. if you poll GM's/players you aren't going to find a majority on who the best PG is. it'll be around 20-30% at the most for the top candidate and that's at any given time, i bet. given these no handchecking rules, PG's thrive because they have more at their disposal. chicago needs a scoring threat and rose picks that up for them. NO absolutely needs a facilitator and not 'hero ball' and cp3 fits that mold extremely well. now, you could say rose could do what cp3 does more but at the end of the day, they play to their strengths.

i have to agree....APG is an overrated stat anyway, Assists should always be as evenly distributed throughout a team as possible. high assists such as 11 is indicative of poor ball movement. So Cp3 may be the better PG if playing PG means under 20pts and 10+asts, but rose is still the better player that you can win more games with because of his ablity to dominate his matchup in ways chris paul cannot. Chris Paul's succes relies very heavily on the pick and Roll,...Derrick rose does not need it.
