eh.. he obviously tweaked it that last game and the same one a month ago. your ankle just doesn't go in those unnatural positions and be okay. I have bad shoulder pain but as soon as I warm up and start working out, the pain goes away for a while.. Temperature, loosening up, hormones do wonders

exactly.. trolls and media making a huge deal. he obviously tweaked it though but if it was something really major then he wouldn't be able to play.. I'm sure his ankle isn't 100% but probably close enough after all the adrenaline and blood flow during the game

I'm not arguing his level of play in his 15th season...but longevity, in itself, does not necessarily make a player greater than another with a shorter career.

Are you saying that he is also better than MJ, then, who was nowhere near a prime Jordan in his 15th season?

Kobe is just as accomplished and more than anyone I named.

Kobe has been getting to the basket against the Hornets all series long. Ether his knee is starting to feel a lot better....or Ariza simply sucks at keeping his defender in front of him.

Ether, those dunks brought back memories of No. 8

True. Kobe is certainly in the conversation among the all-time greats.

But, I just don't believe he was as dominant, in terms of peak play, as Hakeem, Bird, Duncan, Shaq, and Magic.

35 5 and 4 isn't dominant?

Its not dominant when you lead your team to the playoffs when everyone predicted the team would finish 11th or 12th?

Tell me exactly what those guys did with teammates like

Luke Walton
Brian Cook
Chris Mihm
Kwame Brown

Lamar Odom was the second best player on those Lakers teams and his biggest individual accomplishment is winning 6MOY, this season.

Ariza tries to play airtight D on kobe which is dumb. He should be doing what the C's did to him. Guide him to a spot with a double and let him take jumpers all day. That's how you beat kobe.

ALL of those dunks were worse than kobe's.:oldlol:

Lebron's first one was in transition on a 2 on 1 and he didn't even give a facial to anyone. It was a shooting guard trying to draw a charge.

The second one was lebron blowing by his man and dunking. No help and no facial.

The third one was a great move but lebron dunked on NOBODY. He got by three dudes and had an open dunk.

NONE OF THESE ARE FACIALS.:lol

Don't derail this topic. Kobe IS NOT Michael Jordan PERIOD. You're throwing our longevity in terms of seasons played.. but not mentioning how Kobe came out of HS while Jordan and the others went to college. Jordan was still dominating at 36 when he won his last ring and even 38-40 he was tearing it up leading the Wizards to the playoffs. I'll be VERY surprised if a 38 year old Kobe can lead the Lakers to the playoffs.

Nonetheless great vintage Kobe dunks. The Okafor dunk is totally mini fro Kobe from '00.

Those dunks were awesome. I didn't expect him to dunk either one.

Makes me wonder if he's been holding back or if that was just a product of the circumstances. Probably the latter. But I wouldn't put it past Kobe to limit the stress on his body by playing a little more finesse regularly.

No, it's not. Dominant seasons don't end with 7th place finishes and getting bounced in the first round.

And why, might I ask, was Kobe surrounded by those players from 05 to 07? Something you Kobe n*thuggers can't get through your damn heads. HE CHOSE THAT SITUATION. He ran Shaq and Phil out of town. Only after his disaster of a 2004/05 season did he realize he NEEDS Phil and the triangle in order to hide his weaknesses. That's why he himself was begging Phil to come back. Had he not been such a jack@$$ and piece of sh*t, Phil and Shaq would have still been there and as Shaq got older, he would have gladly allowed Kobe to take the reins of the team like he did with Dwyane Wade in Miami. Kobe would've been contending for championships those years while putting up huge numbers. The fact of the matter is, Kobe was NOT ready to lead a team, he wasn't mature enough. You saw what happened when he started to become more aggressive in the Lakers offense. Their run of 3 straight championships ended.

Besides, it's a bunch of horesh*t the way Kobe trolls try and spin those Laker rosters as being the worst teams in NBA history. Yeah, those were pretty bad teams, but not as bad as Kobe trolls try to make them out to be.
