I am not hating, just stating my opinion of Steph Curry

So far, I haven't seen him do anything impressive outside of being a 3 point shooter. Guy has bad shot selection, gives away and 1's all day, doesn't have the slightest clue how to play D, turnover machine, bad decision makers. I know he's supposed to have this incredible bball IQ and supposedly one of the best passers in the league.

I get it, he has unlimited range and he's still young but as of now I don't have him high up in the PG list. Opinions anyone?

Young kid, not there yet, has a bright future if he can realize at least the most of his potential.

My roommate is a huge GSW homer, and basically since the rumors of GSW looking to pick up Mike Brown as a head coach we had an argument of which team had more balance (GSW now vs. Cavs 2009-2010). And I said Delonte West was a more complete player, he plays D, hustles, can pass, can shoot the 3 ball, can create his own shot, has handles. Sure Steph Curry's got the potential, but what I was saying is Delonte has everything.

So what I'm getting to is not... saying Delonte>Steph... but Delonte already has a complete game and Steph is still working on his. But I'd take Delonte right now on a defensive team than Steph on a defensive team.

Flirting with career 50/40/90, which are GOAT shooter stats, and it's his second season.

His FT shooting jumped to 93.4% last season, which, if he keeps up for the rest of his career, he'd be the best ever by far.

I'd say this kid has a very bright future.

we all have opinions. To me Steph is amazing.

He definitely DOES NOT have bad shot selection. In fact, he has great shot selection and Ball IQ. It's very evident when you watch him play next to Monta who is lacking in both of those areas.

His defense however is pretty terrible.

He has good handles, has enormous range, can shoot very well, and has handled the pressure of starting PG his first two years very well. His percentages were ridiculous... as a rookie. He was top 10 in fantasy after his rookie year.

There's really not much else you can ask for from a second year player under that system and with those players.

5 years into his career if he still had those negative traits like you mentioned, I would be concerned. But its' still way too young and the potential positives far outweigh the negatives.
