Frank Tenpenny is a corrupt police officer of the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) and the head of C.R.A.S.H., he serves as the main antagonist in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Tenpenny claims that his approach to the job is about "percentages" and that his philosophy calls for overlooking some crime to achieve a greater good. It appears that he believes what he says, but in reality Tenpenny and his unit are corrupt to the core and terrorize gang leaders in a fashion much like a gang themselves, except with the power of law enforcement behind them. They can kill indiscriminately and are skimming the profits from the rival gangs. Tenpenny himself is a polluting influence, convincing good cops to aid him in his pursuits.


I always saw him as a satire of Alonzo, from Training Day.

With these type of games I always skip through the videos, since I just want to play and thats it.

But with GTA San Andreas I enjoyed watching the mini-videos and following the plot, it was almost like a movie.

I took a lot of the things CJ says while he's driving his girl somewhere and actually put them to use in real life. His females were always talking their heads off and his responses were always so bland and bored. The biggest one I'll use is "Why" (pronounced "Wah"). Any time one of my females get on a roll that'll be my go-to response. They just keep going, so the response seems to suffice.

The frustrating thing about flight school was that you had to pass it to unlock Las Venturas ( The 3rd island ) i was trying to find ways around it but you had to pass it

i was only 12 years old when it came out so it was a big part of my childhood, i was addicted to that game

i liked the bit, where OG and Carl were talking, and OG wanted Carl to kill someone I think...and Carl's like "Man he five foot three!"

I might pop this in and play it again..

I played last month for around 2 hours.. and forgot to save it, thinking its auto save...

A few mission took me yonks to do.. where you have a fighter jet, and had to blow up some boats.. and when you flew a shiet plane, but had to go to one place and come back.. it was some where in the desert..

I was young back then.. so it was pretty damn hard..

Passed that flight school in my first try. The part that was incredibly hard for me was the RC plane and also at the very beginning, winning the low rider hydrolics competition lol. I don't know why the latter was so hard, but I always needed someone else to do it for me. And the dancing on the beach mission took me 5-6 tries :facepalm

Shit driving school gave me more problems than flying school.

The RC mission safe always the hardest missions, I remember in Vice City those where the hardest ones. The big smoke mission that you had to follow the train was also hard as ****

Anybody played the rereleases? I got it on PS4 and completed the story.

I still haven't completed driving school because the car they give you has a silly amount of oversteer, and other drivers drive wrecklessly. Found flying missions easier than flying school. I also can't do the first Zero mission, shooting the planes with the turret

Played through this game again last year. It was fun, but there were a lot of moments that made me thankful for the small little additions GTA has made in the years since, like saving your game at any time and retrying from checkpoint instead of starting the entire overly-long mission from scratch upon failure.

Also, as unrealistic as it is, I found myself missing the GTA V ability of being able to rock a car back upright after it flips over (very annoying when something wonky in GTA: SA randomly caused car to flip).
