View Full Version : Discuss D-Wade's performance in Game 5 as Heat eliminate Celtics

The game was still winnable for the Celtics. They had a good lead in the 4th then the game ended in a 10 something run by the Heat. Turnovers and rebounding were putrid. Heat were the better team. And I'm a Boston fan.

Heat were clearly the better team in the series.

I agree... but it's not just Wade. Rose gets the same treatment. Any star perimeter player willing to throw their body into the paint without worried about getting hit will get these calls, period.

Just so happens Rose & Wade attack the basket more than other perimeter stars who settle for more jump shots... and thus they get more free throws.

If Wade and James's games were switched around you know damn well he'd get called out for not being clutch/not doing it when it matters/sidekick/Wade's team. Over the course of the season we've seen both James and Wade have these types of games, one plays consistent for 3qrts then the other comes up big in the 4th, they're both capable. It's sad how they're constantly pitted against each other by the haters, they don't care, Heat fans don't care, the win is what matters.

When two players score in the 30s in the same game, on the same team neither is a sidekick that game. They both played a very important role, it makes no sense to me. If the heat win and Lebron has a better game, he is stat padding or front running. If the heat win and Wade had a better game, then Wade carried the team. If the heat lose whatsoever then Lebron is overrated and not clutch. If Lebron does in fact have a clutch game, then it was only one and doesn't mean anything.

Why is it so difficult to enjoy basketball and great players. When you are on the level of a Wade, Kobe, Lebron, Rose, or Howard the difference in skill is irrelevant, any one of those guys can explode with huge numbers at any time guarded by anyone. We as people love to tear down the ones at the top. We are so happy to be reminded that superstars are indeed people with limitations and jump at it as quickly as possible.

Wade did have the better overall game, no doubt.

They have traded who had better games from the get go. The difference is, that in the past 2 games, LBJ HAS CARRIED THE TEAM ALONE IN THE CLUTCH.

10 straight points to close out the win. Suck it haters, sidekick my balls. We are witness a top 5 all time player.

Its funny to see all the 3rd grade level comments on this board. I really feel for our country when the intellect level is dropping down this low that we can't even have logical debates. Even worse is that ppl actually believe the crap that come out of their mouth.

Why can't we just leave it at both Wade AND Lebron brought it today. Both of them played winning bball. Both of them contributed very well to their win. If one of them didn't have as good of a game, then they would have lost. It's simple as that. I am a HUGE Kobe fan. But it doesn't blind me to talent when i see it.

Only idiots will claim that Lebron is a sidekick to Wade. Only idiots will claim that Wade is a sidekick to Lebron. The entire season we saw that they are both first options about equally on average. Some games they go to the person who is feeling it more. They both play extremely well, and have an equally huge impact on the game.

It's also funny that when Lebron shows up in the clutch....it's "luck" and then when he chokes in the clutch, it's because he's "mentally weak" or a "choker". I think it's time that majority of the people on this board stop talking out of their a$$, or just bash a player because he might be a rival of your favorite player, or has crappy fans, or even because of race. When you see greatness, just be happy that you got to witness it. it might have been a travel but no way it was a double dribble. he knocked that ball clean from the pass from delonte. that wasnt a dribble. the ball was loose and he grabbed it and then dribbled it once and dunked it. the amount of steps he took before taking that one dribble is questionable.

He didn't perform the way he used to, and maybe I'm slightly biased here but I say he's tied or very close. But the legacy he's created makes me say he's still tied. Just like with other older players, you give them more respect because of what they have accomplished.

2010 - Kobe Bryant

They have combined for 8 of the last 12 Finals MVP's. :applause:
Yeah, it amazes me that the past decade, Either Kobe, Shaq or Tim was featured in any of these Finals.

And we won't see any of 'em in the Finals this year. First time I'm not really interested in the Finals in a long time.

Are people haters this much to the point that they have to sticky a thread where Hogan the biggest troll here is bashing Wade?
