He probably could've bought an ownership stake in the club for that much.

They're charging at least a 500% premium on everything on that tab from what I can see. I wouldn't blame him for not tipping at all to be honest, on a tab that size the owner should be the one to give his staff a cut of it.

It's a Vegas night club, and must be a good one if Lebron and gang were there. Who here has gone to XS, Tryst, or the new Marquee? I've never personally bought a bud light there, but being 9 bucks doesn't surprise me at all.

Clearly some of you guys have never been to a nice club in Vegas. Mixed drinks can go for $15. 9 bucks for budlight is the norm. I have been to most of the nice clubs in Vegas. XS is very nice. Most of the time, we just buy bottle service. It is kind of pricey, but you get your own table, seating and all the workers there kiss your ass. I just went to surrender this weekend and got bottle service. Bouncer hangs out around the bottle service table and lets you know to talk to him if anyone is bothering you, waitresses will mix your drinks, chill your shots, and just make your stay more enjoyable. Lebron spending 170k doesnt surprise me much. Clearly he was paying for a big group and those prices are the norm at those clubs.

If you can afford it, then who cares? Its way better than fighting a crowd 10 times a night for drinks. I don't feel hustled because I am paying to have a good time, and its not $2500 a bottle. Lots of bottles run $500. Not like I go to those clubs on a weekly basis. If you are concerned about getting "hustled" for buying bottle service then clearly you shouldn't buy it bc you cant afford it.

sometimes its worth it. you get a place to sit and chill when you aren't dancing. And a place to bring girls back to hang out instead of elbowing your way around drunk ass people. If you got a big group it can be alright. And sometimes at packed clubs if you get bottle service you get in fast.

But yea, I am always weary of paying 2grand for a $80 bottle, sometimes I wish I was a fine girl=free drinks

In Vegas if you want to enjoy yourself at a club, you pretty much have to roll with the bottle service... unless you know people at the club, you will stand outside in a line for an hour or more.

I don't go out in Vegas without bottle service. Get 5 or 6 friends together, drop $100 each and you have a table all night and 3-4 drinks each. I know it sounds ridiculous, but if you're buying drinks there, they cost $15/each anyway, so for 4 drinks you're dropping $60 and you have no table and you have to wait in line.

I'll pay the extra 40 to walk right in, no wait and have a table all night.

but, in the case of this particular tab... that's freakin stupid. The upcharge on Cristal and Dom is insane. and no, it tastes nothing like Andre.

lol I wonder how many people actually believe this and don't realize that it's fake. LeBron wasn't even in Las Vegas at the time. Furthermore, if you've been to Vegas, you know how much high rollers get comped. Imagine someone like LeBron going there. First, there would be no speculation over who's tab this was. We would have seen pictures and read a legit story. Second, he's a huge celebrity. He has no reason to spend that much money on alcohol. He's probably greeted with close to that as soon as he and his entourage walk in. Come on, people.

I never get anything but goose, patron or maybe some whiskey and thats about $500 per, even at the best clubs. Yea the markup is gigantic, and yes very overpriced but people get the service not juts for alcohol. They get it to have a more enjoyable time. You are basically paying for the experience, not the actual alcohol.

LOL doesn't matter what the alcohol is valued at...it's what you sell it for...

If he comps LeBron the alcohol instead of making him pay, he's losing 170k, even if the alcohol only costs him 5000.

Also, yeah of course celebs get paid to show up to places but it almost always happens as an event so it can bring people in and get a name out there...

Nobody even knows about this appearance so why would the club owner comp him so much for no reason? That's stupid.

Then if he was buying a case of Bud Light then it would say 12 Bud Light 12 pack just like the other items that are in bulk like the Red Bull and FIJI. I've been to clubs like XS in Vegas and it definitely costs $9 for one beer and $15 for mixed drinks. Once I was in Pure and bought a shot and a beer for both me and my buddy and it cost something like $30.

you are way off on this. The only time that applies is for the clearly marked 6 packs of redbull. the rest of these are individual bottles (of budlight, patron, cristal, etc.). He definitely did not buy a case of budlight for $9. that is just silly. Those prices dont seem out of line for a club in houston, LV or anywhere, but he has terrible taste.

They don't sell 12 packs to people from their stock.

That is ringing up 12 individual bottles @ $9.00 a pop.

That's the ridiculous price for 1 beer at the place he is at in Vegas.

12 beers cost him $108 dollars

He didn't buy 12 cases of Beer for $9.00 a pop haha ... you can't get a 12 pack of Bud Light Bottles for $9.00 at your local grocey store.

This. Lebron James is making around 15 mill this year from salary alone and probably gets another 20-30 mill in endorsements. It would be comparable to a guy making around 50k a year and spending $250 or so in Vegas.
what it does is show you how out of touch he is with the average american. Should we hate him for it? Thats up to you (and you), but it clearly shows that he lives in a very isolated and protected world where dropping nearly 4 times the average annual salary in the US on a bunch of "image" liquor is perfectly acceptable.

Then if he was buying a case of Bud Light then it would say 12 Bud Light 12 pack just like the other items that are in bulk like the Red Bull and FIJI. I've been to clubs like XS in Vegas and it definitely costs $9 for one beer and $15 for mixed drinks. Once I was in Pure and bought a shot and a beer for both me and my buddy and it cost something like $30.
thats actually pretty cheap if you got 4 drinks for $30 bucks. In houston, you can expect to pay anywhere from 6-12 for a beer and 6-infinite for a shot. that is hip bar and club prices, as you can obviously find cheaper places.

There was a theory running around in the thread about LeBron's performance in game 1 v.s. the Bulls that brought up this very point.

Grab your best silk clubbing shirt, pop your collar like a homo and douse yourself in some shitty overpriced cologne, it's time to douche up the night!

Yeah I think the beers were $9 a piece and the shots somewhere in the $6 range. It was alcohol that I thought would be the cheapest (Coors and Jager). It was my first time in Vegas (and only time really buying drinks in a club like that, now I just pregame like hell with booze I bring from home) and I'm the kind of person that typically goes to dive bars where beers and shots can be had for $3 or less.

I seriously doubt this is real. I don't think LeBron even went to Vegas last night.

LeBron says in the post-game that he can't find time to hit the gym and practice jumpshots, but he has time to do this?
