Favors. His defense he could be as good as Ibaka's.

And his offense is almost certainly going to be better.

I'd take Favors long term. Pretty sure he was the youngest player in the league last year too? Seemed to get better as the year went on as well witch is always a good sign. See Favors as having more upside. Ibaka is a beast tho.

Favors.

Ibaka needs to work on his post game and 12-15 foot jump shot. If he can improve in both areas, the Thunder have a real chance to advance further. Without him doing that, it's losing in the playoffs again.

Favors. I like Ibaka for this team where he is a 4th option but I think Favors has more star potential

Havent seen enough of Favors but Ibaka has been nice, so if Favors is better that bodes well for Utah.

The one that's, y'know actually done something in the NBA while being all of 21 years old (allegedly anyway).

And Favors doesn't turn 20 until next month, not that it should matter. You people are nuts.

Whats the consensus after 5 years?

it's definitely favors now. Ibaka's already looking like he's losing athleticism and it really doesn't help that he's most likely around 30 instead of 26.

Isn't Favors hurt every year? I swear I notice him missing a lot of games, especially this season when they were trying to make it into the playoffs.

I wouldn't say so, I think this past season was the first where he was actually hurt for a good chunk. The other years he didn't play much because Utah was piggy-backing Millsap and Jefferson on their way to an 8-seed. Favors is good though, although Durability does concern me

Well Ibaka apparently goes to sleep on a spaceship at night as he has managed to age faster than the rest of the planet. The man is clearly not in his physical prime as his recorded age would have you believe.

Actually the guy on the spaceship would age more slowly... if you got on a spaceship going 80% the speed of light, flew into space for 10 years and came back, everyone you knew on earth would have been dead long ago.

Ibaka just put up 13/7 with 2 blocks a game. Am I the only one that fails to see how he is a scrub?

He's not a scrub but I recall he was leading the post season (at the least, the Finals) in blocks per game and total blocks. This year he looks like a stiff old man compared to the guy who used to fly up to the rim and erase shots. How do you go from league leader in blocks, to MAYBE getting one a game?

Watch the games. Scrubaka defense has fallen off hard last couple seasons. He isn't even a top 3 defender on okc anymore and Favors is a better defender even and shts on him offensively at everything minus shooting 3 and Favors doesn't have KD or Westbrook creating everything on O for him leaving him wide open jumpers

Favors right now is a fringe top 5 PF and much better than ibaka ever was. He also murks Scrubaka head to head since Scrubaka is a liability in the post on O and D

Favors reminds me of prime Jermaine Oneal but with a lesser presence in the paint. He's still got lots of room for improvement though.

Ibaka aint 26. He's clearly past his athletic prime.

I wonder if there's any validity to him being older than he claims to be
