I was just talking about the busts.

**edit**

as a matter of fact no one aside from the 3/4 busts played in the big east, and I agree with you on the Jonny Flynn thing. I wouldn't write him off yet.

flynn is not a bust. 13.5ppg, .417fg%, .358 3ptfg% in rookie season. He was injured last season, hence he didn't do as good. Even with that, if I remember correctly, in one game Flynn didn't play for almost the entire game then had 10 points in the 4th quarter

Ever since the draft, I felt that Jordan Hill would be a disappointment. Jennings, on the other hand, is currently a bust. He supposedly had an advantage over his peers because he had one year of professional ball under his belt.

jenning last year carried them in the playoffs.this past season he was injured alot, broke a bone somewhere in his leg. I think he'll be better next season.

He's a starter. And he was just a 10th pick. Is a 10th pick supposed to become an all star???:confusedshrug:

Rockets have always been terrible in drafting. They had three picks in the 1st round and they never picked Rashard Lewis in 1998. They ended up picking 3 scrubs instead of him, Rashard is from Houston by the way and he was disappointed terribly about that.

I wouldn't consider Thabeet a bust yet.

He'll never be any great offensive player, but he can be a good defensive center, blocking shots, taking up space, patroling the paint, controlling the rim, anchoring a defense. I think he can have success in that area.

Memphis thought they really needed a center and they reached. He shouldn't have been picked that high. And everyone knew it was going to take a few years with him.

After 2 more years, let's see if he has developed on the defensive end.

Flynn is not a bust. I mean he didn't really have a superb start to his career, but he did had a decent rookie year. He was scoring 13.5 points in about 28 minutes as a rookie. He got injured in his second season. So he could make a come back next year.

For those going into debate "who's a bust, not a bust", kinda missing point of thread.

No one finds it amazing you look at maybe the 4 worst picks of the first 11 in the 2009 draft.....and ALL of them are on the Rockets....and NONE of them were selected by the Rockets....four separate trades.

That is so weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird.

So all four guys: Hill, Thabeet, Flynn, and Williams did NOT have their options picked up for their fourth season.

That has to be a record. It's rare for a rookie scale guy to not have options picked up, but four of the top eleven? And all on the same team. :lol

Morey is a value buyer. He loves to make trades for undervalued talent and see what happens. But he swung and missed on all four of these guys.
