At this point, I kinda have to watch the final season, since I've watched all the seasons leading up to it.... especially since its only like 8-10 episodes long.

With that being said, this is definitely my least-anticipated summer season premiere, as the show has been lackluster as the past couple seasons.

I watch this show for the jokes more then the drama, what time does the episode start?

Damn they bumped it to Midnight? I guess it's not the draw it used to be. There are a lot of HBO shows though now. I'm with Bankshot, I'll watch it because I have seen every other season but I remember when I used to eagerly anticipate each episode and that hasn't been experienced for a few seasons. Gotta see how they go out though

shows like Entourage should have closed out on top when they had the chance. these days, the best length of seasons for a good tv series is 5 seasons max (maybe 6 under special circumstances).

for entourage, should have wrapped it up 2 years ago. just my opinion. i guess i will see how they are going to end things. their best seasons were 2-4.

In terms of quality.... yeah there are a lot of shows that have gone well past their peak.

However, if a show like Entourage is still making money, which I'm sure it is, then there is absolutely no reason for the network to stop churning out new seasons.

not looking forward to it, but they've dragged me along for 4 bad seasons so why not

Yeah, the turning point was when Turtle got a HJ from the girl from the Sopranoes on a plane (WTF?) ends up dating her, then she breaks up w/ him with Turtle crying ( or should I say 'misty eyed') in the season finale.

I liked season 7 though to be honest, with Vince losing it and becoming a drug addict. It was way better than season 6 to me.

Kind of let down there is so little episodes, but I'm interested to what they are going to do with Vinces' career. Should be interesting.

I checked the TV guide and the new episode is going to be on at 10:30. It will probably be replayed at 12.

Compared to the last season, I thought the first episode was pretty good. I just really hated the whole Vince/Sasha thing.

It looks like this season is off to a good start though, imo.

agreed entirely with this post. I thought season five was okay, and was gonna set up an awesome season six and I was letdown. then season 7 sucked shit till the backhalf, and then it was must see in my eyes.

Just watched it. Really good episode. Glad it started off well only one thing I would change, white text.

when Mrs. Ari tells Ari she's seeing someone else, Jonah should have came back down the stairs after Ari left. I think it would have made the scene a little sadder. OR right after that have him be down there, and then have Ari man up, and spend time with him. Thus proving that Ari can grow up and change and handle things.

Was it ever explained why Vince was being crappy to E? He said he was "disappointed" and mentioned how business gets in the way of their friendship but.. I don't really know what he means by that.

Good episode overall, I'm excited to see where things go this season. I can't wait to hear the details of E and Sloan's split.

This show gets a lot of flack, which is understandable but.. it's so entertaining to me. Haha.

I think it gets flack because it's not all Vince gets laid doing this. the guys have been doing this together. Now there's actual bonds going on between the characters and fights and stuff. Really the only season IMO that sucks is season 6.

i forgot most of season 7 not memorable so someone help me, us refresh the memory

why did E and Sloan break up, again

1 why did E and Sloan break up, again

2 why did Ari and his wife break up

3 why is Vince pissed at E

4 who was that blonde? you know who i'm talking about

1-prenup
2-Ari too busy, now she is seeing someone
3-E is the voice of reason and not a yes man, Vince thinks that making him more of a business colleague rather than friend
4-imdb + google = your wank.

I hate the fact I like this show, but I do like this show. Maybe it is because the characters are both likeable and unlikeable at the same time and I feel like I know them after 7 plus seasons. There is a comfort to watching this show, it is the epitome of junk food for the brain and sometimes a Whopper Cheese is pretty f*ckin tasty.

It appeals to our inner d-bag in a non-threatening way that doesn't make us question our decision to watch.

The show is in some perverse way a Sex and The City for 18-40 y/o males. Instead of handbags, shoes, fun gay friends and girl talk it is cars, hos, cool celeb cameos and partying.

I thought the first episode was 'meh', even by Entourage standards, the drug free party was lame (this better not be a f*cking trend as one of the things I do like about the show is it portrays marijuana use, mainly through Turtle, in a realistic manner), Drama's over the top attitude about keeping the house substance free was a stretch, even for Drama, and Ari's domestic situation sucks, just leave the b*tch Ari, it might be fun to have you out partying with the lads for the final season (though I do think we are heading in that direction). E's break up is interesting, though there is talk of a movie after the final season, and what better event to set a movie around than the wedding (add bachelor party antics, famous guests, and the shit practically writes itself).

Oh yeah, I think the predictability of this show isn't the weakness it might be if it were to happen in other shows.

How do E and Scott Caan steal a massive agency from an entrenched long time industry insider in three months when E's only clients are Vince, Bob Saget, and Vince's brother and Scott Caan's a glorified gopher. This show is not good, it's barely better than Weeds.

that part seemed a bit odd, and makes me think the prenup should have went the other way round.

Weeds is good fun.

I feel like i'm forcing myself to laugh at the jokes now. this show should have ended 2-3 seasons ago.

To recap:

Ari's storyline this season is getting his wife back :facepalm
E's a whiny little bitch as usual. i effin hate this character. No one cares about that Sloan $hit.
Turtle's the weakest link from the group. he's just there to take orders or smoke weed.
Drama's pretty funny still.
Vince is sober, which takes away from the party scene stuff. :facepalm

Sloan is fine as hell as is mrs. Ari, but she is massively bitchy. Last season seemed sucky, but after this long I gotta see how it ends. And i ain't watching to entourage movie in theatres

The first episode was all right. I can't really remember a season where I really liked the first episode. They've always been solid, setting up the time frame, what the characters accomplished prior to the season opener, and some foreshadowing of what the season will be about.

I'm not all excited about this season, but by investment, I'll continue watching. Hopefully it ends properly.

Also, it's crazy how much weight Turtle lost. He's skinnier than E now.

They tried to make changes and flip the script, but they ended up following their same repetitious formula.

With this show it's just the writers trying out different ways to rehash the same recycled storylines.

When Ari's wife says she's been seeing someone, does that mean sex too or more of a friendship thing?

Cause that would be cold if she's ****ing another dude. I thought the purpose of separating was to clear your head and re-asses your relationship down the road, not to bang another person. That's what divorces are for. lol

I know people who have gotten back together after separation and then months or years later one party finds out the other party was ****ing around and it led to a divorce because they viewed it as having an affair.

Relating back to Entourage, I guess I didn't see Ari's wife as being that sort of person. Seems out of character because I assume it was assumed that neither party would see anyone because their marriage was still a strong possibility....now she just seems cruel. Doesn't add up in the months this would have been taking place especially with the way Ari was really trying to get back with her in ep. 1.

Then again, a lot in the first episode didn't add up.

Well if you think about it, she's been complaining about his behavior for years now. How much he works, how he isn't there for his family, etc. It seems she doesn't love him anymore.

I've thought she was a bitch for a while now. All her character ever does is complain. Her husband is building an empire for them, so they can do nothing but lounge for decades after his retirement. But she wants him to turn off his blackberry in the middle of crisis situations.

I was talking to my brother about E's takeover of the company. It is very unrealistic that E and Scott would be able to overtake Murray, but my bro made a good point. They made it clear last season that Murray is slacking, constantly away from the office and not taking care of his clients.

I still think it's unrealistic that E and Scott would be able to do the overtaking. But it isn't as surprising that Murray could be overtook.

Then again, I'm probably just rationalizing because I want to enjoy this show :-)

I just think it's one of the cruelest things you can do in a relationship. Go on a break where certain boundaries are assumed and then go behind your partner's back and see someone else while letting your partner believe there is still a marriage to fight for. Cold. I didn't even think she was annoying before. Ari did ignore her probably from what we saw and what we can assume from the job and lifestyle he had. But now I'm rooting against her. Hopefully he bangs hookers in her bed. lol

She does have a very strong sexual appetite, but I doubt it. Most of the viewers are male and wouldn't want to see them get back together if she had been boning other dudes.

A couple things that have been bugging me:

Mrs. Ari is pretty fine, and I was able to let her annoyingness go while she was still with Ari. But now, I can't stand her ass. Always complaining and shit, STFU! And she lost too much weight, she looks frail as hell. Put some meat on them bones honey.

Next, E is short, but Turtle is shorter, but no one ever cracks on Turtle for being short, only him being a loser (although he still pulls) but it seems thats what E always gets crached on for?

And E looks like he got fat

Season 8 is starting out decent though

Is Eric and Sloan the worst on again/off again romance in the history of television or what? My god, they are awful. Who cares? She is unbelievably hot and unbelievably BORING. Why is Eric in love with her exactly? And why does someone who's the hottest/richest/most sought after bachelorette want to be with a low class "Eric from Queens" anyway? Their romance ruins the show half the time........

Also, the acting is pretty bad. Adrien Grenier is an awful awful actor.

I also noticed the storylines are weak. Turtle and Vince have no storyline. Lloyd has no story. Eric barely has one. Drama's is tepid at best, trying to get his show off the ground. Only Ari has a legitimate "I wonder what will happen" story, with his potential divorce. It's sad when one of the most interesting moments is when Andrew Dice Clay pops on screen.

Whatever. It's still entertaining. The "bromance" between all the guys sometimes gets to a ridiculous level sometimes, but its ok. Ari and Drama are the two most interesting characters, and make the show worth watching. Plus, since its almost over, I'd like to see how it ends.

Last season ever and they're following stories that no gives a flying sh*t about. This show has been garbage for several years but I keep tuning in just to see how it ends. And they do this crap. I know I'll be watching the last 3 though, despite how much I hate it.

There is nothing at stake and nothing to wrap up. Lame ass show.

Totally agree in that "there's nothing to wrap up." It's pretty clear that they have no intentions of giving this show a good ending, instead they're going to cliff-hang us to set things up for a movie. So disappointing.

I don't hate the show as much as you. I'm entertained by it and all. But for a final season, what the hell are they thinking?
