On a related note, I was straight up raping kids in the Gears 3 beta. I went 25-0 in a match one time. And I pulled a 7v1 clutch in another match. Nobody can **** with me and my Gnasher.

He's the only guy that makes sense to me. I mean I suppose Skorge could be alive even though he should have died when you shot down his reaver.

RAAM's already confirmed for MP though, has been for awhile. ALL the unlocks from previous gears games are unlocked in this game. Gold Lancers/hammerburts/ and characters.


It really could be Niles though. Not a lot of people kick around the theory that he created the Locust. I do, so I think it could be a "Surprising" return for him.

The first one is pretty hard. You'll probably want a friend to help you out. The second one even on insanity is easy as pie. I think you can get both of them with all the maps for like 30 bucks now.

First Gears is the bomb. I got up to the end on insane, but can't kill the boss. It was more darker than the second gears. Still one of my favourite game of all time.

Second was good, ut the mulitplayer was focked.

I got my gears controller today, holy ****. this thing is NICE.

Unlike the Halo ones that the top feels weird, this has a layer of something over it. that makes it feel perfect, the design and feel of it is amazing. and I hate skull things generally. But this looks good, and it has the new d-pad for you guys who had "problems" with the original one. I HIGHLY recommend it.

my ONLY minor complaint is...I wish they would have switched out the green LED for a red one. That would have been boss.

There are dedicated servers this time around, that will at least remove the "host advantage" the previous games had.

This one played more lancer based so that should help you.

What I did in the beta was used either lancer and the sawed off shotgun for close range, had some huge games doing that. Basically just chill out and learn how people play it, and develop counter strategies like a normal game. About 85% of the gears pop. plays the same.

Seems like everywhere you run you're getting assault rifled. Guess that's their way of phasing out the shotty's dominance which means i'll have to get used to playing differently:banghead:

Only played like 2 chapters. Amazing graphics, script is a bit cheesy though...

Only thing I don't like is the lambert locusts, I don't like when they explode.

I absolutely love multiplayer on this game!

I was dubious before I bought the game, didn't think I'd like third person shooting much, but I've adapted to this game pretty quickly, and I've really enjoyed the few matches I've played, and I've put up some decent scores. To be fair, been matched up against other newer players too, but I've been kicking their asses, so I'm doing ok for a complete Gears noob up until a few hours ago!

Not got very far in the campaign, will probably work on it a bit more tomorrow.

Im using the lancer, and the sawed-off. But I think the regular lancer is actually the worst rifle for multiplayer. Or it seemed that way. the Hammerburst's scope comes in handy, and it's almost as easy as the lancer itself to use. And the Retro Lancer packs a nice punch, and once you get the burst down it's not too bad.

Also, I hate the sniper. It's not as easy as the gears 2 one.:lol

I don't mind trenches. When I first played online on it, I didn't know where everyone was, then I realized there's a new trench they added.they never had it on the beta.

I like gridlock, hotel seemed cool and other one ,forgot the name though, has all containers and stuff.

My kd is 1.5 but my win ratio is 0.3...

For assault rifles, it depends on the map, for shot guns, I always use the Gnasher.

Switched to the Lancer for my Assault Rifle, and felt more comfortable with that because of the higher firing rate. Getting better with the Gnasher too. K/D slowly rising!

My XBox works on and off. I generally only use it for older games, or XBOX exclusive. THis is the first game i've got in a long time that's a new release, a big release.

and guess what? My XBOX can't take it. It crashes all the time. I switched copies (brought it back) and it's not the game, it's my system.

Graphics are great. I'd never played a third person shooter before, so I thought it would take me ages to adjust from FPS to third person, but I was able to pick it up pretty quickly. I got used to the controls playing the single player before I hopped online.

Now I'm pretty hooked!

If the game played as well in Acts 2 and 4 as it did in 1,3, and 5....It would have been my favorite shooter campaign ever. But man, Act 4 sucked. and 2 was boring as ****.

I liked Act 2. We finally got to fight a Brumak on foot with standard weaponry and fighting all of those corpsers was pretty cool.

Act 4 was okay I guess. I'd definitely say it was the weakest part of the campaign, but it was still fun. The only memorable part about it was probably dealing with Griffin (Ice-T).

But Act 3 is the best Act in the entire Gears series.

Act 4 was okay I guess. I'd definitely say it was the weakest part of the campaign, but it was still fun. The only memorable part about it was probably dealing with Griffin (Ice-T).

But Act 3 is the best Act in the entire Gears series.
The Brumak was the only cool part in my opinion. I thought the Corpsers were too easy.

I like Act 5 more, just because it was the perfect way to go out, shock and awe all around, battle after battle with no boring walk time in between(aside from cutscenes, and the occasional dialogue) Act 5 basically had everything I wanted the end of Gears to be.

I was expecting Ice-T to have a bigger role in the game, but he didn't. Kinda disappointed with that. and I wasn't particularly fond of what they did with Carmine.

Overall, I'm giving the campaign an 8 out of 10.

Multiplayer-8.5/10 (just doesnt have that same gears 2 magic to me yet)

Horde 2.0-10/10 Holy Marcus Fenix is that great now.

I think Blood drive, Memorial, Jacinto, Fuel Station, are all better than every map on gears 3 aside from Old Town, although Trenches is good now that I've gotten better at it now. And two of the maps I named are basic maps. While there were flaws, they made the game. I mean I haven't lagged, although getting matches takes forever at times.

I'll give it some more time, but I think the multiplayer was better. Just if you didn't know how to use the shotgun you were...****ed.

Digging the updates to Horde mode, i've spent most of my time playing that. Made it up to level 29, but people always end up leaving, so I normally only get in the 20's before it becomes too much.

Whoever came up with the idea of putting the sawed off shotgun in gears, should get slapped. That f*cking gun has to be the most annoying shit ever, it lets people that suck at the game, get kills, SMH. Ranked is full of sawed off whores. One of the reasons Gears 1 is still the best by far.

Just completed the campaign in co-op.. Decent experience overall, final boss is quite difficult. Will probably hit horde and beast mode up with some mates over the next week or so.:cheers:

The one thing I hate about playing on Blood drive though, is I haven't had a match yet where in horde most people don't quit out after like level 12. I get that it actually gets challenging again at 14 or so. but still!

I played Horde on Blood Drive and died on wave 39. We had all 5 guys for the first 30 waves (just randoms), and then one guy quit out.

For some reason people are quitting out of horde now in the 20s I've noticed. Like I had a group today that made it to 27 or so. relatively easily. We didn't have a death on our team till wave 17. And we were cruising. We hit 20 in probably a bit over an hour. hour and a half tops. Lost one guy at 25. Lost two at 27. I was like wtf? then we died. Then had the same thing happen in two other games.:facepalm

Im so hot and cold in gears. It is my main shooter game but when im on , im unstoppable. But there are times when I shoot some one 3 times they get me once I drop. So there are games where i have 2 deaths 12 kills and games where i have 6 deaths 1 kill. Ugh. Love the game tho.

Personally I think RAAM's Shadow DLC is better than most chapters of the game:oldlol:

It had that real Gears feeling to it, that I didn't get when playing the campaign. I hope they do some more chapters to the game.

I bought the season pass. At 1200, depends on how much you like gears really. It's about a 90 minute or so thing. Maybe a bit longer or shorter. I played it on normal. It's fun being RAAM, i just ****ed up the finger technique because I'd let go of the trigger:oldlol: And I was like why the **** is this guy so badass if the kryll take forever to actually kill someone else.

I can't get into multiplayer either. Too easy generally. Horde is still amazing.

And I'm pissed because Thrashball Cole was released and Savage Kantus. I have no problem with Savage Kantus(amazon pre-order) being released to the masses as long as the Biker Baird or whatever he's called is as well. But the Thrashball Cole was supposed to be exclusive to just the Gears 3 members that did the 100 kills with the gold retro lancer in the beta. That's bull shit.

Got the new map pack. Before I couldn't find a math with real players. Most of them were bots
