That graphic surely must be sarcastic.:lol
They rarely look happy.
Fvk the claws.
My g/f's cats meow much more frequently than my dog ever barks.
Their tails are annoying as heck, especially when they want to lay on your chest while you watch tv.
I have no need for them eliminating pests as I don't live in a mouse-infested place.

I've hated cats ever since I walked into my bedroom and saw mine wiping it's ass on my carpet. it eventually "ran away"

I really hate little dogs generally. Bigger dogs are alright, but I like cats a lot better. They just have personality. Every dog is automatically your unconditional friend when you give it a treat. I don't really want a pet that likes my friend as much as it likes me because he gave it a cookie.
My dog put my friend in the hospital....I doubt a treat would have helped. lol
I agree that tiny dogs suck. I group them and cats with the other rodents of the animal kingdom.

Cats have personality? Maybe your cat does. Dogs have much bigger personalities than cats from my experiences with both animals. And not all dogs are blindly loyal.
And I hate the tiny little dogs too. Those stupid things that are always dressed up and go with their owners (high maintenance bitches) everywhere.

I personally prefer cats. The Warrior Poet has an awesome theory having to do with the subject of liking/disliking cats.

Buncha cat haters. Guess my cat is kinda dog like though, plus he has a scar across his eye like Omar Little that makes him look like a gangster.

Reasons why cats are better:
- Less needy than dogs; more self-reliant; better pet for single people who aren't home a lot
- generally smaller so they are more practical pets for some people
- less noisy; good for those that live in apartments/condos
- cleaner, can keep indoors. Having a smelly dog inside is gross
- more affordable; cheaper to feed
- you have to earn their affection; a dog will sell out for a milk bone
- cats have dignity; they dont wallow at your feet and beg for scraps like some manservant, sheesh
- Less time investment; no need to walk them, they walk themselves
- Convenient cleaning via a litter box; no need to scrape crap off the ground
All that said, dogs have some advantages. Useful as guardians obviously, better family pets (especially with small children) fun to play with, and so on.

The things you pointed out are reasons why you prefer cats...not why cats are better.lol Things like they cost less are silly examples. People who own dogs obviously can afford them. Smaller is better because they're more practical? What if someone has the space to handle a big dog? Or what if you're like me who thinks cats and small dogs are almost equal to rodents? Less time involved? What if a person enjoys all that time with their pet?
You see, these are your personal opinions....not why cats are actually better. lol
But the kicker is your last sentence. Dogs are fun.....and isn't that why you take on a pet?....because it's gonna be fun and bring you happiness? Why do you like cats? Because they do nothing and you get to stare at them? lol
And the person who said dogs replace human friends....I hope this was purposeful sarcasm.....because aren't those old ladies who never leave their houses the ones who have a lot of cats? How does someone come to the conclusion that people with dogs are lacking friends? lol
Chicks dig guys with dogs as well. No one goes to the park with a cat and has a girl come up to them saying "OMG he is so cute! Hi, my name is Sandy" lol
Finally. I question any man who's single and has a cat. It makes me think of that scene in Little Nicky where you see the dude pouring candle wax on his nipples. Creepy shit.

Pets are made to be played with. Not as easy with a cat. The only advantage you really have with a cat is self-reliance. But it's not like you couldn't have that with a dog. If you have a house with a back yard and a doggy door then problem solved.

Not necessarily. Cats are more fascinating to me. Anyone who's watched a cat hunt can attest to this. Watching cats have their "cat fights" and how the interact with wildlife - great stuff. Maybe that's just me. But I find cats more cerebral and harder to figure out, and that's part of their charm.
Dogs are "fun" but ultimaltely predictable and boring. Throwing a ball and having him fetch it gets old quick.

As a side note, the best dog I ever had was a huge Malamute, specifically because he wasn't a typical dog. Absolutely untrainable - the only dog in his traning class that failed. Didn't "beg" - if he saw you eating, he'd demand you give him the food. Horrible watchdog, just didn't give a rat's ass. But I respected him because he was his own "man" and went his "way".

I'll admit, that is fun to watch.
I"ve actually seen a cat stalk a field mouse. It was able to successfully creep up on it and catch it in an open field. The mouse didn't even see it coming.
My ex's cat used to catch birds. It would pile them up in the corner of the yard. Even had a feather stickin ou the anus once.

My dog was the same. Would kill anyone he didn't know on his property (as I said, he put my buddy in the hospital). No training would help. Was stubborn as hell. I guess that's because he was an Australian Sheppard though. They're probably one of the three smartest dogs in the world and thus can be stubborn. It was naturally 90+ pounds, which is like 20 pounds more than usual. The thing was just a beast. Almost killed our neighbors pitbull one time. It was gangster.
I guess why I'm defending dogs so much is because this is my only experience with having a dog. I've never had a silly little lap dog or something. I agree that those things are pathetic.
The only cat I've ever liked is my best friend's gf's cat. She lives on a lot of land and this thing resembles a bobcat. It walks like a lion or something. That's cool. House cats aren't like that though. Normal house cats are like lap dogs to me.
Our thinking is pretty similar I think.

I can agree with that

not really,as dogs can be even smaller than cats
- less noisy; good for those that live in apartments/condos
totaly depends on the animal,I know dogs that never shut up,but i also know cats who meow so much you want to stab them
- cleaner, can keep indoors. Having a smelly dog inside is gross
you can say the exact same thing about a dog,the work i do,im always going to peoples houses,by far,the worst houses i have ever been in,are cat owners. Some of these peoples houses literaly make me wish i was inside a septic tank
- more affordable; cheaper to feed
No cheaper than a dog of small size
- you have to earn their affection; a dog will sell out for a milk bone
Cats will diss you for a treat just the same, and beg,and scratch and mess up things in your house
- cats have dignity; they dont wallow at your feet and beg for scraps like some manservant, sheesh
Yes,they do.There called footwarmers for a reason
- Less time investment; no need to walk them, they walk themselves
True
- Convenient cleaning via a litter box; no need to scrape crap off the ground
Shit in a box, somthing even dogs can be trained to do
Cats are good for two things only, inflicting pain on other people by throwing them threw the air to latch onto sombody, and warming my feet.
thats about it.

My Malamute was at least 130 lbs - he was overweight, but strong as hell. We'd leash him to 4 cinder blocks and he could still pull them. And yeah, stubborn isn't the word. If he didn't want to do something, he just wouldn't. Extremely intelligent too.
One time this dog almost as large (black lab I think) wandered into our yard and went for one of his bones. Bad move. My dog attacked and the other dog layed down in a submissive position and surrendered immediately.
And the howling was funny. I'm convinced that Malamutes have grey wolf genes.

Dogs easily.
You always know what to expect when you own a dog. Cats are so moody.
I have owned large dogs and right now I have a small dog and I would say that they are both great in different ways. We live in apartments in the city and a small dog works out a lot better right now.

always, when my grandma was coming from bus station, we would tell the dog to go and help to bring her stuff to help her, and he would do it. I dunno how they trained him that but it was amazing. All village knew this dog and wasnt afraid of him.

Very different animals. Cats are just more independent and don't rely on pleasing humans. I have a cat, gf has a dog. They love each other :D If you want a pet to do stuff with and take places, get a dog. If you want just a low maintenance, chill pet...get a cat.

I just like the independence of my cat. He doesn't need to be taken for walks, he cleans himself, conceals his shit, only meows when he wants food or water. He also looks very wise while doing it, dogs always look stupid to me with their stupid tongue out. Dogs are like a needy bitch always jumping and slobbering all over you.
The only time I hate my cat is when he does this, happens often and I don't know why cats do this shit. Meows forever like he wants to go inside, I open the door and he just stands there.
