LeBron James Gets Harder to Hate After He Tweets Photo of Son Ready for First Day of School, Jokes About Hairline

Ever since he walked off the court in defeat after Game 6 of the NBA Finals, it's gotten harder and harder to despise LeBron James.

Oh, there's still a high level of good old-fashioned hatred, and the basketball-loving world was almost unanimously united in rooting against James and the Miami Heat in the Finals. Apart from "The Decision" and the obnoxious preseason celebration with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh -- neither events were fully James' idea, by the way -- the unfiltered, hype-free James has been surprisingly likeable.

Thank Twitter for gradually improving James' image.

James took to the social networking site Wednesday to send out a photo of his son, LeBron James Jr., preparing for his first day of first grade. All dolled up in a red polo shirt, fresh haircut and cool lunchbox, Bronny is ready to knock the ladies dead.

There's more bad news, LeBron-haters. Not only is LeBron a family man with cute kids, he's got a sense of humor, too.

As observers have noted, James' hairline is, at best, unfortunate. It's receding a little too early for a man of just 26, and it could use a good shape-up.

Unlike some men, however, James is able to laugh about it.

"Had a dream my hairline was back! Woke up and went to bathroom, turned on light slowly," he tweeted on Aug. 24. "Same ol story. Damn! Lol #wishfulthinking."

We're not sure the world is ready for a funny, self-effacing King James. It's difficult to think of him as a villain when he's constantly willing to bring attention to his flaws or happily tweet photos of his kids on their first days of school. It makes him seem so, I dunno, normal. Normal with millions of dollars in his bank account, but still normal, relatively speaking.

Never has a player showed the dedication in any sport, that Kobe has shown in basketball.

I must also admit, that it is indeed getting harder to dislike LeBron.

The man has a good heart, it's just that he likes to associate himself with people who are manipulative. I don't blame LeBron, it's just at times he seems too weak-minded to do anything about his situation.

Had Maverick Carter let him blossom, LeBron could have been the greatest player ever.

if you have to make a conscious effort to hate somebody, then you have legit problems.

i dont understand why people cant enjoy all players to some degree, to have their favorites, but not be so insecure that they have to tear down their favorites' rivals to build up their own. its sad really. i guess if you have no sense of self-worth and you tie yourself with a player if you can argue that hes succeeding , you can convince yourself that you are succeeding.

I like this new lebron. Seems more humble and likeable. Ever since the finals he is a changed man. Finally working on his post game, got rid of his headband, acknowledging that his hairline is receding. Seems like the choke job in the finals finally changed him. It was that much needed reality check to hopefully stir his career in the right direction again. I really hope there is a season.

Naw, it's easy to dislike LeBron still. (Hate's too strong of a word, reserved for people truly worthy of it).

But it's still very easy to dislike him, and hold whatever the Heat win in low regard. They are still the most stacked team in the league. LeBron and Wade are still the top two players in the league.

LeBron should be proving himself against the greatest players of his era. Instead he still ran to play with the only other player arguably as good as him. With a very good Bosh along as well.

That situation remains the same, regardless of cute kid pics and his PR guys telling him to joke about his hairline.
