The AP reports:

The Lynx are in the WNBA finals for the first time in franchise history. Minnesota, which lost in the first round in both previous postseason appearances in 2003 and 2004, beat San Antonio in three games in the first round and then swept Phoenix in the conference finals. Seimone Augustus leads the Lynx in scoring in the postseason, averaging 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Rookie of the Year Maya Moore is adding 15.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.8 apg. Lindsay Whalen (12.2 ppg) and Taj McWilliams-Franklin (12.0 ppg, 4.6 rpg) are also scoring in double figures, and Rebekkah Brunson (9.4 ppg, 12.2 rpg) is nearly averaging a double-double. The Lynx lost consecutive games just once

Minnesota takes the WNBA title!! Game three was a pretty close. But in the end, Atlanta just did not have enough to beat Minnesota. Congrats, Seimone Augustus (Finals MVP) and to the whole Minnesota Lynx staff and team.

We could have a dynasty going here. I knew we could win the title before the season started, but they have more potential than just one championship. The 2nd year will be the true test whether they're as humble as they advertise to us.
