Well... I'm a big Point Guard/3pt Specialist (they are also using me at Shooting Guard along side Kidd sometimes.) yeah that's right... Dallas drafted me and I'm stoked about it. I would love to dish many assists to Dirk.
That's what I want to do... be a knock-down shooter from the outside and also be an assist guy.. My (nickname)name is "Rain-Man.." I am about to play game 2. I am into this. I got a little bit into the MyPlayer last year (for the first time) but only I was My(Jordan)Player... Creating A Legend. I was MJ, not my own weak-sauce player that I have right now. I think I want to stick with it and get deep ..

by the way.. the Jazz, Bucks, & Rockets interviewed me after the rookie game before the draft. I basically used the Y button for most questions..
whichever one was saying that I am not interested in their team. I didn't want to play for those teams and I told them so. They were disapointed..
I thought automatically I would go to one of those teams.... nah fella...

I've made myself each year of My Player thus far (6'3'' 170lbs point guard). However, I'm thinking of switching it up after I read someone's post about trying to create the next Shaq. What has been your experience in My Player mode using a big man? I've enjoyed using myself because the point guard saw the ball every single play. Is it rough in the beginning for the big fellas?

I like how My Player has all this new cool stuff. Gameplay wise, theres still no credit for running a play perfectly, or getting back on defense quickly. Its not my favorite in the first place.

I have a question...
so I just played the first 5 games. since I'm coming of the bench I average like 8 or 10 minutes. Half the game only. so games go kinda quick. My question is in my player you are doing a whole career?? or just a season??
also if it is a career... do you guys play every game or use that option that says skip to a key game?? and if you do use that option do you just rack up a bunch of skill points automatically like if you never skipped ahead??or are you missing out on those points and experience?

Yea they have a good transition D. I think you have to get back and be in a defensive stance though not just run back. And if you are quick enough and make the ball handler slow down you get a "stopped fast break" too.

They give you milestone points but I dont think you get the game to game skill points. You do get your check though which you can use to buy things.

Good idea but not a realistic my player experience. I would prefer to do it with more realism, throwing the rookie game isnt in my blood.

I think there might be a few more. The quality is still pretty bad.

The creating a player system is actually something that still bothers me. Picking a college sucks(no love for canada) and is hard to navigate, and things like tattoos, hair, and facial structure are bad. i wish tattoos had a name like "Dolphin" rather than "Tattoo 50"

I'm also a 3 point specialist SF. Going for Larry Bird mode. Got drafted 7th by Wizards. Gonna make a SG now and see how I like it. Athletic or slashing. Wanna try all styles and positions.

An atheltic 2 with post up and shooting. Cant see it being stopped, especially if I get contained on the drive I can just tap Y, take a post dribble and shoot a fadeaway.

I'm so addicted to My Player that I haven't tried any other modes! So my review of game will be delayed 1-2 weeks guys. I now made an athletic SF and love it! I had 3 vicious dunks on defenders in the rookie showcase. As a 3 point specialist it's easier to score.. but not as fun. Plus as a specialist you're SO slow and unathletic. Easier to get by without a shot than without any physical tools.

Made a 6'8" SF, with a point forward playing style, going for the Scottie Pippen build.

Had 10 pts, 9 boards, 8 assists in the rookie showcase, although I swear I could've had at least 12 assists if that big white guy on your team didn't miss so many layups :roll:

First interview was Milwaukee, and there's no way I wanna play with a chucker like Jennings so I was pretty much a total dick to them.

Second interview was Charlotte, no way I wanted to play for them either when their best player is probably Maggette so I was a dick to them too.

Third interview was Golden State, which would be a great place to play, so instead of being a dick to the GM I started kissing up to him, needless to say I now play for the Warriors :rockon:

The standard quick release worked really well for me. As long as they have that I'm happy. I get your gripe though.

I think in my player mode you have to use money from your contract to buy the other shot releases. I was looking through some menus and saw the option to buy jordans jumper for like $3 million or something.

Went back to my athletic center on the Sixers and I'm loving it! I wanted to give the new post game more of a chance. It sucks I don't always get the ball but they do dump it down to me quite a bit so far. I have 12 points, 2 blocks through 3 quarters off the bench. I love playing with the Sixers actually more than the Clippers and Wizards on my other players. Sixers team has a bunch of unselfish players. None really are ball dominant so I get lots of touches and teammates take smart shots.

I love my Skyhook and spin off defender dunk move. Awesome stuff.

It's awesome because it's more expensive to buy things now with skill points... but skill points are much easier to earn. You get them while simulating games (meeting career goals) AND you get them every 2 weeks for pay day. I'm up from a 60-64 overall already just from playing 3 rival games and simming rest.

Still haven't figured out how to do team events to increase chemistry like the Devs said we would be able to.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I found it. Under my purchases. Awesome. I used my 500k in savings to buy chemistry and stuff. I got team chemistry from 61 to 67 by only spending 60k. Not bad. Can only do once per season though.

Play calling is very fun... but as a center I don't have that ability yet and not sure if I'll get it. Now it's simplified to where your team is smart enough to run plays to your strength. For example Cleveland will get Baron in the pick and roll probably as one of the 4-5 single button play selections.

More knowledge to pass on.

If you guys are playing in the post and notice you're getting stripped a lot or racking up turnovers... it's because your actual abilities are too low. For example I kept losing the ball on spin move attempts and found out my post spin move ability was "poor". I upped it to "average" and now I never turn it over. These abilities are extremely expensive but pick 1 or 2 and max it out.... basically as go to moves. Makes it so much easier.

Don't know if I'll ever play a wing again. Post game is SO fun once you figure it out and find your niche. I love spin move dunks, skyhooks and Dirk style 1 foot fadeaways out of the paint. It's addicting as hell. Plus I just had a nasty chase down block on Paul Pierce who had a big headstart on me. This game rocks.

Yup. Not only that but they accumulate skill points for you based on your performances and milestones as if you played the games! I averaged 9 and 9 in my first season. Since I'm a Sixer and center I have the least amount possible of key games I think. I only have to play Celtics and Knicks. Playoff games too when I make it. To solve all the turnovers you need to boost abilities not skill points. Whenever I get a huge chunk at once that's what I buy. If I get like 4k or less at a time I just do skill points.

Accidentally discovered possible cheese. I was up 2 and the Nets had to foul me. So I got it and ran to the line hoping to shoot a 3 just as they tried to foul and get 3fts. But when I pumpfaked Deron jumped back so he wouldnt foul me. I just pump faked every time he went to wrap me up and ran out 19 full seconds holding him off by pump faking the 3 when he would approach me. I felt terrible but I had to know if it worked or not....

my player is so much easier this year. last year i got destroyed in my player mode, could barely make it out of the d-league.

this time i made a 6'4" 3pt specialist pg. I ended up getting drafted by the thunder, who made me come off the bench behind westbrook and harden for the first half of the season. then i started playing only key games and the team went on like a 15 game win streak on sim mode. at some point the thunder also traded away westbrook and harden for d rose, which seems strange obviously chicago would never trade away rose. i started putting up big numbers on the last few key games of the season vs the blazers and warriors. ended up getting rookie of the year and sixth man of the year as well as rookie first team.

just now finished my first two playoff games vs the lakers. i got moved to starter for the first game of the playoffs, so the starting lineup is me, drose, durant, collison, okafor. First game i put up 46 points, second one 35, thanks to jacking up tons of 3s. I cant make a layup unless there is no defender within 15 feet but i make it rain from outside.

Haha yea Harden is with me on Sixers now too. I agree the GM's are WAY too trade happy. Usually they are neutral or beneficial but still! I hate having new teammates every 10 games. It's unrealistic.

Spencer Hawes still has my starting job but I typically play all game anyways... so I'm sure I'll get the spot soon. I'm happy that Nene immediately was traded to make way for me. I also love how Denver loves fastbreaks and post dumps. Perfect system for me to thrive. 5 game winning streak since I arrived. Love playing with Arthur in the post. He's a scrappy defender, grabs my missed shots and finishes strong inside. For whatever reason he gets like 2-3 tip dunks a game off my misses.

I'm struggling a lot on the boards. I'm great at boxing out and getting position but the jump timing from 2K11 to 2K12 is way different. I often jump way too early. If I timed my jumps better I'd get 10+ boards every game... but I end up getting 5 ish every game instead. Simulated games have me at an 8 rpg average.

A huge key is matchups. I'm noticing though that just because you post a smaller guy doesn't mean it's easy. Quick handed defenders like Gerald Wallace keep knocking the ball out of my post attempts and forcing me to rack up turnovers. It's all a strategy. I love it because it's not simple and mindless like 2K11.

It's funny though when my 7 ft 300 pound center gets Earl Boykins in the post.

Man the team has a REALLY bad habit of benching me with like 1-2 minutes left in games and costing me games. I get us in a tie game at the end of the 4th quarter or get us momentum back.. then get benched at the worst times :facepalm .

JR Smith for Ginobili, Duncan AND a pick for Brand and Nocioni, Josh Smith and Zaza for Devin Harris and Okur (cuz apparently Utah needs another PF), Marreese Speights and Antonio Daniels for Marc Gasol, Aaron Brooks for Paul George and pick, Childress for Jack and pick, Derozan and Bayless for Love, Gortat and pick for Hansborough and Jones, Baron Davis for Blatche, Brandon Roy for Larry Sanders and Udrih, Tony Parker for Collison, Rudy Gay for Nash, Dudley and Hill for Udoh and some others.

They really need to wind down the amount of big names being moved and make it so teams stop taking redundant talent. And I play for the Suns and we keep making horrible moves, they trade away the two PGs (Nash and Brooks) and bring in Chalmers so we can split the minutes at PG, they trade away our two bigs (Lopez and Gortat), and the coaches rotations blow.

Yup. It's my only real complaint. Bad trades and nonstop trades. Not to mention the poor rotations. I'll be the reason we are in a game yet I get benched with 1-2 minutes to go every game.. and we lose 80 percent of them. My stamina isn't low so I don't get it!

BTW guys found another trick. Since your simmed games account for most of your averaged stats anyways when you don't want to play key games.. intentionally start fouling a lot and you'll get benched. Basically you can sim entire season this way. So I don't lose skill points... what I'll do is on offense I'll try to score... but then on defense intentionally foul.

See, in 2K11 they didn't sim right (for me at least). They always made me play like a scrub. I would always get at least 5 fouls and I would never shoot more than 10 times :oldlol:

Yea hes like a 66. But my usage rate is epic(like 39% last I looked...first in the NBA with durant second at 32). I guess the game takes note and sims it like you normally play. I went 6-14 from 3 in a simmed game and ive never taken more than like 5 in a real game. Guy is a gunner.

I have a 7 footer which makes it harder to get skill points and I get 2700-4500 normally depending on how well I play. That's with the double points. I get most of my milestones during simmed games.

Say that schedule is the first 5gms of my season. Lakers in bold is my Key Game. I play the Clippers which is a regular season game. I want to sim the Raptors regular season game so I can play the Nets regular season game. I know if I want to sim all 4 regular season games I can just "play next key game". Either in the play now or schedule menu. But what if I want to sim certain reg season games and play others?

I dont think you can sim the Raptors game and then play the Nets. Either you play all 5 games or sim to the Key game. 2k11, you clicked on Play now for the Raps game. Then go to "Sim game and end". That option isnt on this game.

So I think the tradeoff was people can sim straight to key games but you cant sim an entire season or sim certain games and play others. You see what I'm talkin bout now?

I'm at a 70 overall. I'm building it up as a Shaq like Center. Playstyle athletic. Only "Ability" I improved was I got my post spin moves up from poor to average. I'm going to work on abilities more later because for now my spin move is deadly enough. I bought 0 moves packages so far because my priority is improving my game first.

As for actual stat points.... I'll tell you what I've done so far.

1. Upped strength to 85 (maxing ASAP)
2. Upped vertical to 80 (going to get it to 90+ ASAP)
3. Got dunk to 75
4. Got standing dunk to 80
5. Got block shot to 90
6. Got post defense to 80
7. Got both offensive awareness and defensive awareness to 80
8. Got hands rating to 65.
9. Got stamina up to 75 (so I can play longer= more production)
Pretty much these are the stats you need to max first if you want a back to the basket/athletic style big like Shaq. I haven't put much into shooting stats or anything because my game is based on overpowering defenders and getting shots and dunks at the rim. Eventually I'll get a midrange jumper but first I want to get all the key stats up. Another thing is pick effective moves when you pick your shot style etc. My favorite combo so far is shooting style 3, base form 7. It looks similar to Kobe's jumper/release. I also use Skyhook for my hook so nobody can block it. I have yet to have my hook blocked.

Edit: Just got Shoot in traffic from 25 to 42 because it's so cheap and important if you get to the rim a lot.

The only drill you should really be doing as a 7 footer is the "2 Man rebound & post up" drill. It's easy as hell. Basically 2 shooters at 3 point line take turns shooting 3... and you're competing with teams 2nd best big. You guys fight for rebound.. and whoever gets board gets to get a post up... and try to score. I kill my opponent in that one because I'm too strong for him.

Another thing to mention is that Vertical rating can offset rebounding ratings. For example both my rebounding numbers are 80.... but for some reason I could only grab 2-5 rebounds a game. Then when I upped vertical from 65-85 my rebounding has gone way up. I think it has to do with hang time. When you have bad vertical you come down way too quick. I'm going to max vertical to 99 based on these findings probably.

Played the showcase today and did the draft. My player dropped 15 points, 9 rebs, 3 assists and other stuff I can't remember. I'm a 6"7' Slashing SF. Got picked at 10th by the Bucks. I think it's a good fit with Jennings and Jackson being shooters. Also got Bogut which is a nice addition. Going to try to build up my defense and my stamina/speed.

It's chemistry. I get the ball more and more when I call for it now. Also has to do with positioning half the time. The AI is smarter and won't make bad passes even if you command them to.

So far I am a young Clarence Weatherspoon who is trying to get the hell out of Philly before I murder Jrue Holiday. He can't play the point, and we are 3-12. Finally got the game!

6'4 PG, 3 PT specialist, got 20/1/5 in the showcase game.

Got interviewed by the Rockets, Jazz and Pacers, and I was pretty cool with all of them. Wasn't overly keen to play with any of them, but they'll do for my first player.

Both Utah and Houston passed me up, so got picked by the Pacers at 15.

I've always found that to be the case. Otherwise your layups get blocked or miss, and your jumpers generally suck until you get your stats up. At least as a 3pt specialist I can camp out on the 3pt line and get some open looks if the D decides to double team when I dump the ball to the bigs in the post.

Mid-range is pretty high too. Makes it so easy to score straight away. Means I can invest my points in other things sooner than I normally do like defence, dunking etc.

Only onto my 2nd game with my player, but may as well click the retire button. Westbrook just did a windmill dunk right in my face, I jumped at the worst possible moment. PG is best starting character. You get more control over games and get the ball the most. Try a 3 point specialist PG man. Make him like Steve Nash but with better defense/athleticism obviously.

I'm more a fan of the idea of being a relative unknown in the basketball world, trying to get a foot in the door of the NBA. Means you could go low first round, high/middle second round, or low lottery/mid 1st round if you had an exceptional game. I'd prefer it if it was like that.

So I played 9 key games with Sixers plus playoffs. I get to the start of next season and take a break. Quit, exit out. Then cut off. I jumped on earlier today to load up my Player and well well well I'm back to a 62 overall rating playing my first game as a rookie!! :banana:

Ok so i've played 4 myplayers to 10+ games each now (got the game abit earlier then release).

Takes awhile to get used to it but i like the new gameplay, it's harder and more realistic (still abit over the top how easily cpu stop lead passing, really ruins any give and gos and some pick and rolls).

The new rebounding can cause some really odd moments, if you don't box out sometime the ball deviates in the air towards your open man even if it should be going towards you using real world physics.

Buying abilities with skill points is either bugged or i don't understand it, i have 16k skill points, post shimmy moves costs 8k to upgrade, i upgrade it once, try to accept the changes but it tells me i don't have enough skill points? wtf?

CPU 3 point shooting is broken, 3pt specialists in all my myplayers end up averaging60-70%, regular players average about 15% higher then their last season averages (lol rondo dropped 3/3 from deep in the last game i played)

3 of my 4 myplayers have completely traded their rosters after about 8 games, i was drafted by dallas in one save and they traded everyone but dirk and kidd from their starting line up (they also ended up with 4 point gaurds after trading jason terry for jameer nelson...),on a suns save they traded EVERYONE on their team except for me and gortat afer 5 games (we were 3wins 2 losses)

There seems to be a bug with small players blocking large players, my 7"1 centre will drive to the ring, bowl over a small player, goes up with noone standing near his shot but is somehow blocked by an invisible players (the guard defending is on the floor or pushed out of the way). I've also had afew offensive rebounds and missed shots not be recorded in my stats.

Also regarding people being interviewed only by certain teams, it seems they like to interview by position, every centre i start gets interviewing by bucks, suns and jazz (or another team i forget), gaurds seem to get golden state and bobcats alot.

Depending on your style of play, you might be listed as PG|SG on your player card. I'm a Pass-First PG, so they never move me to SG. Even though I play with Nash, he's the one taking turns at 2 and not me for some odd reason.

Nerd :D . You need to push enter and it will ask you if you want to accept changes for the "Abilities". Reason it's saying you don't have enough points is you're trying to add to that ability 2 times a row. It doesn't work like skill points. Yes the interviews have to do with positional need for teams though.

You can't. It's all about the specific moves this year.

There's ball security which determines how likely you are to lose the ball, but they seem to have removed the ball handling rating.

Anyone else frustrated about always being interviewed by pretty much the same teams, being projected in the same areas, whenever we make a new player?

Highest I've seen someone get drafted was 7th, the lowest was 16th I think.

The way it's going right now, if I made a player for all positions, they'd probably all end up playing for the Suns, Rockets, Jazz or Pacers. That kinda sucks to me. I don't want to deliberately play shitty to drop down and have a chance at playing for a different team. I don't want to make trade requests early on in my career either, it's not realistic.

I also don't like how we can't edit the minutes and difficulty in the showcase, it's just too easy right now.

I'm more a fan of the idea of being a relative unknown in the basketball world, trying to get a foot in the door of the NBA. Means you could go low first round, high/middle second round, or low lottery/mid 1st round if you had an exceptional game. I'd prefer it if it was like that.

Any player who is not a first round lock would not even be in the Rookie Showcase.

I would recommend creating a player and using him in Creating a Legend. I'm pretty sure the game allows that.

LOVE my 3 point specialist PG. He's a Van Exel, Nash, Bobby Jackson hybrid type. I literally drop 20 ppg off the bench no problem. Right now I just signed a 3 year deal with the Clippers and will probably have starting job within 2-3 more games. I'm pissed as fu** that they NPC trades so stupidly. They traded Eric Gordon and DeAndre for OJ Mayo and Zach Randolph. Blake and Zbo are a beastly tandem in the paint but I want a realistic Clippers team!

Just watched smoove's latest videos... and to be honest, im really getting a hang of it now.. Turns out I just needed to play Association mode.. so I could get rid of that ball craving lol,... I'm satisfied moving w/out the ball and also, I understand now that I dont need to have the ball in my hands everytime to score...

My first game since my break from myplayer was avg.. scored 13pts, 3 assist and 2 stls.. I achieved my career high the next game.. 27 pts 5 assists, 3 rb, and 5 stls.

I noticed there are only 2 rookies competiting for ROY with me. One being Ricky Rubio whose stats dont compare to mine.

Its gonna be a pain to not only max out attributes but abilities.

I have a question about "Purchases". My dunk rating is 70 for now. But I go to Purchases and it says "Dunks maxed". So basically I cant purchase the +5 attribute it usually offers to increase my dunks by +5? Kind of lost on the attribute purchases, I guess the really low ones are up for sale/increase.

Does anyone know the caps for each position player? Curious if its the same as 2k11.

I have yet to increase my abilities. Just too many SP to do it. Also seems with the Purchase SP option, its overpriced. I think for 300 SP you have to pay $500,000. What can you increase with 300 SP? :confusedshrug:

I don't know if it's a glitch or what. I checked the rookie report and it's only me, Rubio and the Thunder guy listed. I checked the team rosters and I can't find any of the rookies who were drafted in My Player draft on the teams. It's bizarre.

Haha funny you say that because I did it last night randomly. The no trade clause trick. Problem is.. when their contract ends it's gone. I don't wanna have to extend all of the franchise players in advance :facepalm :( .

Damn you noobs play on 12 min quarters? F that. I only play on 5 and still dominate usually. My center is usually good for 20, 7 and 3-5 blocks and his rating is only 70 or 71. My PG is good for 15-20 points, 5 assists and 3 steals off the bench. All 5 minute quarters. When your player gets above I think a 67 or 68 rating... all star match ups appear on schedule and then you have to play 20+ games a year. Meaning it becomes a grind. I prefer to keep my overall as low as possible to avoid so many games.

I've been upping stats that will give me more stats but less overall. Essentially building myself up awkwardly like Dirk. You guys know how Dirk is only an 85 but can still put up 25 ppg? Same idea but much larger scale.

I can get stats in 5min quarters I normally would for 12min quarters. Reason being you usually play the same amount of minutes in both. Atleast I noticed I do. 5min quarters I dont start but I'm not subbed out as much as a 12min quarter game. The reasoning for 12min quarter at this point is realistic stats. Later down the road I probably wont care when I'm in year 3 or 4. For now? I like final scores to be realistic as well as boxscores. Thats just me tho. I'm playing every game of my rookie season. Even with the sim to Key Game option. Its what I like to do my first year in My Player mode.

Just call for the ball excessively and chuck full-court shots all game and see where you get drafted. Sprint around the court all game so your player will get tired and subbed out to speed things up. Just make sure you get that F teammate grade.

In my last game i scored 74pts on 50% efficiency and got the team record for points scored. I'm automatic from midrange and rated 89 in 3pt. maxed out shoot in traffic and consistency. I won the Scoring leader title with 29.7ppg

Denver have team option so i'm on my rookie contract for one more season before i'm a free agent. I'm going to play every game in this season and bring home a ring!! trades seem to have slowed down now that i'm in my third season.

i've had 2 magazine covers, jordan have sponsored me but i havent got a sig shoe yet. 3 or 4 billboards for player of the month and another promotional one with me dunking on some dude. 82 game season. in for the long haul!!

Depends on what you do man. Average is good enough for most things besides against elite defenders. So I'm building character to 75-80 overall or so.. then putting points in abilities. Another thing I do sometimes is... all season long dump into stats only.... then after each season when you get bonus 10k+ or w/e... use that towards abilities.

Yes I only play key games. My 7' 300 pound Shaq style center puts up 16, 8 and 3 blocks in his 3rd season with me just playing key games. It's much harder as an athletic wing with no shooting game. Right now I'm basically Corey Maggette 2.0. I'm amazing at dunking on people, slashing to the rim for contact finishes and getting to the line. I also have a great knack for steals but that's because I'm really good at playing lanes and I play with a high IQ in the game. Like a typical player controlled game for me is 22-26 points, 4-5 rebounds, 1-2 blocks and 3 steals.

My best game so far was 29 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks. I just signed with the Timberwolves for a 3 year deal at around 4.5 mill a year so I'll let you guys know how it goes. They play more uptempo and have way more weapons than the Bobcats did so I know I'll be a good fit. Plus I've always loved their colors, arena and logos. I love the wolf howl that goes over the PA on a sick play. Yes I only play key games. My 7' 300 pound Shaq style center puts up 16, 8 and 3 blocks in his 3rd season with me just playing key games. It's much harder as an athletic wing with no shooting game. Right now I'm basically Corey Maggette 2.0. I'm amazing at dunking on people, slashing to the rim for contact finishes and getting to the line. I also have a great knack for steals but that's because I'm really good at playing lanes and I play with a high IQ in the game. Like a typical player controlled game for me is 22-26 points, 4-5 rebounds, 1-2 blocks and 3 steals.

My best game so far was 29 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks. I just signed with the Timberwolves for a 3 year deal at around 4.5 mill a year so I'll let you guys know how it goes. They play more uptempo and have way more weapons than the Bobcats did so I know I'll be a good fit. Plus I've always loved their colors, arena and logos. I love the wolf howl that goes over the PA on a sick play. Well if I got 4.5 being a bench player who put up 8 and 3... I'm pretty sure 10 wouldn't be hard at all. Probably all star level player. By the end of this contract I'll be demanding 10-15 mill a year probably.

I was hoping the sim would go on your stats from games you have played but to me it seemed to be just going off my players rating only. How's that working for you?

The sim isn't going to get your center as many touches etc. Your sim stats are based on your players actual rating+skills. Meaning until your player is a respectable 85+ overall rating don't expect great sim stats.

I'm going to up my Eurostep dunk/layup skill to great ASAP. I just need to get my damn shooting up first. Almost done maxing athletic related stats too. It's hurt me in stats but I wanted to max my strength first which is quickness, leaping ability etc.

Back to my Shaq style center. WAY easier to dominate. In season 3 I'm averaging 16, 8 and 1.5 blocks in only 28 minutes as a starter. I'm extremely well rounded. In player controlled games I usually get 25-30 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and a few blocks. I struggle on the boards in 5 minute quarters but it's improving. I get an A usually for overall grade. Flat A or a B+.

I love how Portland runs a slow tempo and post dumps to me a lot. I think I'll re sign with this team.

I froze once but there are more times where it lags and/or has a choppy feel about it. I was scared because I feared it was my xbox 360 giving me signs its gonna act a fool. But I looked online and other 2k12 owners have the same problem on different systems no less.

I found centers are easy to dominate with too clippersfan, dropped 60pts 15rds and a couple blocks with my 7"1 center in his last game and he's still only rated in the 60's, once you get the post moves timing right it's real easy to score and everyone seems happy to pass me the ball in this edition.

Yup. Once you learn post game and increase post related stats like post offense, defense, shotblocking, strength, vertical etc... enough... it becomes cake. I'm at a 71 overall and it's easy for me to have Shaq like games with less rebounding. I'm playing 5 minute quarters too. If I played 12.. I could probably put up 50 and 10+ with 5 blocks easily. Not to mention a few assists and steals.

I will say Athletic/Back to Basket Center is incredibly fun in this game. Mainly because finally the post game is fun and challenging.

Yeah being a center is fun, but i found it gets abit repetitive as you end up doing the same thing over and over and letting anyone else touch the ball on offense becomes inefficient when you can score at 70-80% from the post every game. Rebounding is still a challenge though and it's rewarding when you drive past smaller defenders for the dunk (so long as it doesn't do that animation that causes you to stumble after driving past and end up past the basket).

I play 12 min quarters, HOF level and Simulation style, and it is very difficult to score at times with my 6'9 athletic sf.
First 3 games I played 6 min quarters but wasnt getting the realistic stats for team mates, in 12 min quarters I still dont play much but the boxscores are good. that being said the scores were still 85-75 in 6 min quarters so not too bad.

I'd say it was a slight tip from the opposition. They give you bad pass and no assist when the pass is tipped, regardless of impact, and sometimes its hard to see the tip.

Nope don't think so. Dude just get ready to be pissed because you'll have an entirely new squad 5 times a season. They should fix it in a patch though within a month or two.
