I live a block away from the school and i remember one day wen i was a yungin, me and neighbor rode bikes by the gymnasium and the door was open and the highschool basketball team was shooting around, we went in and watched them and some of them came and talked with us. Also i was in the gym with him the summer before he won his championship. It was weird because right outside the gym was a baseball game going on and there was about 100 people at the baseball game, but only like 10 ppl in the gym with dwyane wade. White folks:facepalm

Ed Dickson, TE for the Baltimore Ravens was one grade below me in HS. Dude was a freak of nature even back then.

Ron Yary, HoF OL for the Minnesota Vikings in the 70's. The school named the stadium and the street by the stadium after him. Never got to meet him though

Also all presidents of iceland, most prime minister etc. Was basically the own school until about 50 years ago.
