but failing miserably

compare this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQHun6I0IGM) masterpiece to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05PCmqjIeNE. Getting murdered by Big Syke on your own track?

You really want to compare the lyrics?

Street Dreams I believe came out in 95.

Nas wasn't lying when he said "name a rapper I ain't influence"

Damn Pac.

this album and its dark and hell is hot are the two albums that got me seriously into hip hop. all eyes on me will always be a top 2 or 3 all time hip hop album for me, maybe no.1 . what makes pac so great is difficult for me to articulate as i am not a massive rap fan these days. when it comes to tupac i think hes the only rapper when i dont completely 100% priorotise lyrics over delivery(most of my other favorite rappers are people like canibus/raskass etc). there is something in tupacs delivery that for me no other rapper has ever even come close to, he says alot of the same stuff they all do but when it comes from him it sounds more sincere, it doesnt sound contrived and it doesnt sound cleched like it does from almost every other hip hop artist, its some kind of passion and sincerity in his delivery there will never be another and it saddens me greatly....

premed its a shame you dont appreciate pac, i guess its an age thing

it's not an aging thing. I an fan if ATCQ. MM is one of my favorite albums, I'm also a Rakim fan. I guess I'm not really a fan of Pac's delivery. But to be honest, All Eyes on Me is one of my favorite records ever. I use to listen to it every day when I was younger for a whole summer (now I gotta go stake a shower after that Pac compliment).

You failed.

Both albums come out in the same year, 96 but All Eyez One Me album came out like 6 months earlier, was released in Feb, It Was Written came out in July.

Basically, Nas stole the beat idea from Pac's.

Both are dope song but overall All Eyez On Me song is much better than Street Dreams.

I always felt that the one thing, for me at least, that separated Pac from the rest was that you could really feel the emotion when he spoke... You could feel his pain/joy/anger/emotions on his tracks and to me it was always a feeling that he could take you somewhere through a track and make you feel something. This was regardless if you could relate to the situation or not - you could almost experience the emotion just from listening to his words, and I think that is why you will find such wide and diverse group of listeners/fans.

:lol Talk about the OP failing bad:hammerhead:

I'll give you some ammo though premed, since despite me being a Pac fan, we both agree that pac did try to outdo a Nas track and failed, even though it was not Street Dreams but even worse.....Pac tried to outshine IIRTW by using the main sample of the track(Friends):facepalm... Pac did try to live up to the original sample and stay on the "friends" topic :lol  It's an aight song to say the least(being nice), but after Nas murdered that sample, it should have been left for good.

Damn....I'll just take my L.

but Nas' is still the better track. Great story telling. I can actually visualize the story he's telling. Very underrated video for it too. Nas was dripping with swag in that video. I fukks with Mafioso Nas.

i dont get you op. how can you like someone like kanye and then dislike pac?

pac essentially did the cocky/egocentric shit better than kanye. add on to that his style was a bit more gangsta, his flow was better, and so was his content.

so where is the hate for pac coming from?

Im so nba'd out
