Maybe Lebron's doing some Jordan shit...get close to the enemy...then BAM! Go for the kill during the game!

Either that or he's planning on taking his talents to OKC.

:D doubtful. Seriously why the fu** is every superstar in the NBA besides Kobe a part of this fraternity!? It's such pus*y stuff to me. What happened to competitiveness? This is why every year I find myself rooting for Kobe again... because he's the last one left that wants to kill every other team and superstar in the NBA.

Competition doesn't get weaker amongst friends...sometimes its much stronger.

thats a pretty dumb reason to root for just kobe. its not as if he has worked with other players in the league as well... http://minnesporta.com/2011/08/24/derrick-williams-working-out-with-kobe/

he has also worked out with Wes Johnson.

theres nothing wrong with superstars working with other superstars/players. it means nothing to their competitive drive against each other.

lol... Lebron is Lebron... always was friendly on and of the court with everybody... all players-coaches love the dude, he is friends with everyone... except maybe Deshawn Stevenson... :D and Durant is also a very good guy, very down to earth... and Durant wouldnt mind seeing how Lebron works out with his trainer in Akron, he only wants to get better... its not like they just gathered up in middle of nowhere to practice randomly... Durant came to Akron to work out with Lebron & his trainer.. Lebron sure can help him get more athletic and some other stuff, like ballhandling and so on... hopefully Lebron gets Durants shooting accuracy aswell from the FT line :D

nice nice, lebron putting some work. Hope he improves and gets back to his 08-10 form

and looking at the video, it didn't seem like KD and Lebron were getting along. They didn't talk to each other at all throughout the video, so i guess the rivalry is there, they're not there to make friends

I didn't realize Dirk guarded LeBron or Durant or that they guarded him. So no, I don't remember that.

Those are some really scrubby work outs.

I have nothing against players practicing with each other, even when they're supposed to be rivals, but only when it's because they need to play against someone who's on their level.

Sharing coaching staff on the other hand is just a big no-no, because you want to reveal as little about the way you do things as possible. This, plus the fact that the workouts were scrubby makes me believe that it's not either of their coaching staff, it's just some third party, and they're really bad

I remember Durant trying to guard Dirk on two consecutive possessions.. which resulted in 2 fouls in 4 seconds. :oldlol:

i agree with whoever said competition is much stronger against friends than the other player just being another superstar.

most people know this to be true. you always want to be better than someone you can directly compare to, and that is your friends.

Phong
11-08-2011, 08:57 PM
Competiton between friends is so strong that some friends want to play in the same team. That way, they can battle every day in scrimmage and fight to be the team's first option.

great vid ...

Years ago , we would never see access to these workouts , and the bottom line we see by these vids the work ethic that makes these guys tick.

This workout isn't the hardest I ever seen , by far , BUT it was a long endurance day .
I like the two ball dribble with the shoulder push , then release for a pass on the block for a jumper. (COOL)

I also never seen a football knee lift , then drive down the field for bballs.
Cross training at it's best.

My hats off to Durant.. would never think he would be willing to go into the weight room with a lebron type :applause:

Takes a lot of confidence from both players to train with one another. I don't think it will really effect their game on the court against one another.

Damn KD is still skinny as hell. That boy needs to start eatin or something. Bron needs to put those DB's down and go hit a treadmill or something. This guy is like 260 sitting on the perimeter....come on, bruh.

Pretty cool to see them workout together, though.

he says that he has tried everything. just not in his genes to have much muscles mass.

cool vid tho

kd's stroke is so smooth

it looks like they didnt play any 1-on-1 at all. if you were kd or bron wouldnt you bee dieing to play the other guy in 1-on-1? i mean im not that competitive as a person and im always looking to see how i stack up against other guys at the local courts in 1-on-1. im surprised neither guy was itching to play 1-on-1

You rooted for Kobe every year cause he won games unlike your own team :lol jokes aside, I dont see anything wrong with these guys working out together. I dont think now that they have worked out together they are gonna let the other one win when they meet. Competitiveness is always there, if you like to win you will want to win every match against every opponent no matter who you facing.

You can also tell just how much more skilled Durant is in terms of basketball ability than James in this video. Durant's motions/motions are so much more fluid/polished
